My virus scan picked up a trojan in the .scr file.... sad

AVG antivirus said file contains a 'Trojun Horse' and killed the file.

it can be true, if this is a free screen saver, most of them come with viruses.

No virus here. it has a crack which would be read by some antivirus programs as a Virus. I've installed it and it.s safe!
