This is the first Maiden album after Di'anno left them, holds great nostalgic value... This album was when Maiden was a lot tougher and more criminal, a flawless classic Iron Maiden album with the whole band in top form and giving one of the best performances of their lives. Di'Anno's vocals especially stand out here. "Killers" is a metal classic, it's certainly a worthy addition to your collection. THE BAND: Steve Harris (bass), Paul Di'Anno (vocals), Dave Murray (guitar), Adrian Smith (guitar), Clive Burr (drums), 11 tracks clocking in at approximately 42 minutes. All songs written by bassist Steve Harris and sharing credits with Murray and Di'Anno on one song each. The best of the two albums with DiAnno. With Adrian Smith joining the band one hears the great fusion of musical talent with Dave Murray making the band one of the best in having essentially two lead guitars. Just a great collaboration between the two guitarists. Better musically and lyricall than their starter album, this album has some great songs such as 'Wrath Child' and 'Killers.' 'Prodigal Son' has to be one of the greatest rock ballads of British New Wave metal: great lyrics and just an excellent instrumental arrangement. |

A fresh perspective on predicting the market The experience of Wall Street investment manager and analyst Michael McDonald offers a new perspective on how to navigate the turbulent ups and downs of the markets. His innovative approach to the stock market teaches investors how to use new investment strategies intended to replace the "buy and hold forever" strategies of yesterday. McDonald discusses what a "trading range" market is-a roller-coaster ride in which the market will neither gain nor lose much ground-and guides readers through this market with his proven investment strategies. This book provides an understandable way to make sense of the unpredictable stock market, taking into account more complex theories, including chaos and contrarian approaches. Along with his expert advice, McDonald presents four investing paradoxes that will help investors make smarter decisions now and predict where the market is heading, using his proven theories. The efficient market theory concludes that stock prices are essentially random and unpredictable. So how do thousands of professionals earn a living each year on Wall Street by predicting stock prices? The answer is quite simple-by using techniques that allow for a stock market that can at times become predictable. Let Wall Street financial consultant and market analyst Michael McDonald show you how to navigate the turbulent ups and downs of the market in Predict Market Swings with Technical Analysis. This fresh approach to trading using technical analysis will teach you how to trade the swings of the market by catching the upswings and selling just before major downswings. |

The latest theoretical and empirical evidence on short selling in the United States and throughout the world. This is a great book for those that are trying to understand the theoretical underpinings of short selling. It is probably most appropriate for money managers who are trying to understand the difference between long and short strategies, quants (as a basic book with which to frame short selling separate from long startegies), and generalists. It is not a book for day traders who would do better focusing on charting. Short selling is regarded as a risky business in the finance community. Yet, informed professionals recognize that short selling is an essential element of portfolio management. Clients who impose restrictions that prevent their managers from short selling will hamper them from maximizing their returns. |

There is a difficult, complex way to learn options (one that requires a Ph.D. in math) and an easier, more basic way for those of us who don't consider ourselves math geniuses. This book is about learning options the easy way...Too many books on options trading make the mistake of assuming that readers can already tell a delta from a sigma summation. Options and Options Trading breaks the code that envelops the often-foreign language of options, providing an accessible introduction into how the options market works as it explains the rules that traders must understand if they hope to take part in this high-leverage, high-profit game. Author Robert Ward's goal is simple--to demystify the tangled world of options trading without leaving readers too confused and frustrated to continue. The book to read before continuing on to the more detailed, and much higher-level, existing library of options trading guides. Options and Options Trading features: * End-of-chapter material including "Things to Think About" and "Key Concepts" * Simplified explanations of complex mathematical equations * Step-by-step rationales to help readers move from basic to complex |

This volume reports on an original study examining psychological and social influences on the behavior and performance of traders in investment banks. Although the number of participants in this study is small, the findings are a valuable contribution to behavioral finance literature. ...and this one is by far one of the best if not the best...it is written people who have learned the markets in The City(London)...and is simply amazing. This is all the more remarkable for its density of details including: how markets work, how traders make money (most of the ways), a concise summary of many of the contemporary of theories of mind and motivation as well as what it might mean to develop traders as professionals and trading as an actual career path. This is a book about traders in financial markets: what they do, the kind of people they are, how they perceive the world they inhabit, how they make decisions and take risks. This is also a book about how traders are managed--the best and the worst examples--and about the institutions they inhabit: firms, markets, cultures, and theories of how the world works. How these institutions function, how traders are managed, and how traders view the world, all have profound effects on the wider financial environment. This book explores these relationships and their implications theoretically and empirically. |

Learn how today's smartest investors are discovering opportunities--and reaping profits--ahead of the Wall Street pros . . . Wall Street research is often hesitant to focus on small companies. This creates a situation where many small high-quality companies go largely uncovered by Wall Street firms. Let The Micro Cap Investor show you how to uncover today's most promising companies, and use the power of micro cap investing to dramatically improve your long-term investment performance. Micro cap stocks are all but ignored by professional investors who can't risk losing their companies' clients--and their own careers--to the sudden volatility and price swings that are common to the micro cap market. But it is just that volatility, plus their proven record for outperforming large cap stocks over the long term, that makes micro caps perfect for independent investors looking for market-beating returns. |
