Changing the SID will make other programs on your PC to stop working. I don't suggest changing it. I don't think there is a working patch for WB 6.3 yet. But there is one for WB 6.2 that doesn't require changing the SID.

From my background SID stands for Security Identifier which is associated with Access Tokenand the latter is created by the Operating system when User log in to windows.
In Windows, as we all already know user accounts have friendly names like Administrator, Guest, John, .....etc
However, Windows NT family manipulates security principals (Users- Groups- Computers) internally using globally unique 48-bit number called a security identifier (SID)
and if you want to view the SID of particular User account, you have to use the user2sid tool from Evgenii Rudnyi to extract SIDs..

Hey Guys i would like to tell you that i have tested this program in two ways:
1-In Normal PC with Windows Vista Ultimate SP2 but without changing the SID of my account
the result is that the program couldn't be activated.
2-In a test environment with VMWare Workstation 6.5 and Guest Operating system of Windows Vista Ultimate SP2 (with SID Change)
the result is that the program is working fine and activated.
But Security prospective I think change the SID is a great security vulnerability as your PC my be compromised ......
here what i know Two extremely powerful Windows enumeration tools are sid2user and user2sid by Evgenii Rudnyi.They are command-line tools that look up Windows SIDs from username input and vice versa.To use them remotely requires null session access to the target machine.
so by changing the SID to SID already known to the Public (like here) you have ease the previous hacker effort to get it (simply you provide him with your SID)
to make it easier look at this example
S-1-5-21-8915387-1645822062-1819828000-513 (this is SID)
the numeric string following the last hyphen is called the relative identifier (RID) here is 513 and it is predefined for built-in Windows users and groups suchvas Administrator or Guest.For example, the Administrator user’s RID is always 500, and the Guest user’s RID is 501.
so here what the hacker may do hacker can use sid2user and the known SID string appended with a RID of 500 to find the name of the Administrator’s account (even if it’s been renamed):
C:\>sid2user \\192.168.2.33 5 21 8915387 1645822062 18198280005 500
Name is godzilla
Domain is WINDOWSNT
Type of SID is SidTypeUser
so the hardest part here is to know your IP address which is not really hard.
In brief once the SID is known, a hacker can basically enumerate every user and group on an NT/2000 system, past and present.
