Beyond his martial arts and acting abilities, Bruce Lee's physical appearance and strength were truly astounding. He achieved this through an intensive and ever-evolving conditioning regime that is being revealed for the first time in this book.

Drawing on Lee's own notes, letters, diaries and training logs, bodybuilding expert John Little presents the full extent of Lee's unique training methods including nutrition, aerobics, isometrics, stretching and weight training.

Author Information

Bruce Lee flashed like a meteor through the world of martial arts. Then, on July 20, 1973, the iconic figure died in Hong Kong at the age of 32. Lee began his martial arts studies with wing chun, under the tutelage of the late Yip Man. Because of his intense training and study, he was eventually able to refine, distill and mature into a philosopher, technician and innovator of the martial arts.

After intensively studying various martial arts styles and theories, Lee developed a concept that he later called jeet kune do, the way of the intercepting fist. Jeet kune do was born not only out of his physical training and personal research--his martial arts library contained more than 2,000 books--but his formal education as a philosophy major at the University of Washington, Seattle, as well.
