The Sims 2 is a strategic life simulation computer game developed by Maxis and Shwetal and published by Electronic Arts. It is the sequel to the best-selling computer game, The Sims, which debuted on February 4, 2000.[3] The Sims 2 has the same concept as its predecessor. Players control their Sims in various activities and forming relationships in a manner similar to real life. The Sims 2, like its predecessor, The Sims, does not have a defined final goal; gameplay is open-ended. Sims 2 has life goals, wants and fears, the fulfillment of which can produce both positive or negative outcomes. All Sims age, and can live over 100 Sim days depending on the degree of which their aspirations are fulfilled (although some items can extend a Sim's lifespan further).

Minimum Requirement:
800 MHz processor
256 MB RAM if Windows XP
128 MB RAM if Windows 98* Windows ME* or Windows 2000
At least 3.5 gigs of free hard drive space

If you have a non-T&L capable video card (such as TNT2* Intel* or Rage for example) then you need at least:
2.0 GHz processor
256 MB RAM if Windows XP
128 MB RAM if Windows 98* Windows ME* or Windows 2000
At least 3.5 gigs of free hard drive space

Recommened video cards (and the more video memory the better):
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro
Nvidia Geforce 4

Mount CD 1 in a virtual CD/DVD program such as DAEMON Tools to play the game.

The game requires data from CD 1, such as building and buying.
