This means it will leave tracks behind on the host pc. Though I dont know for sure, this may create the possibility of people being able to see what you were working on in Office Portable. I recommend - Open office Portable for now until a truly portable version of MS Office portable is found. Open Office Portable is also 100% legal. Can be found here -
