You are correct it did in fact work. What happens is just like retrieving maps and game updates it also does it for PunkBuster where punkbuster opens it's Update manager each time you load the game. Disabling your internet connection does stop the process. I haven't tried the MP part but if PunkBuster has to be disabled like that then I'm not sure if MP would work.

You only use that .reg file to REMOVE YOUR GAME from the registry which is installed when you run the setup.bat.

1] Download all the files
2] Extract to your computers Hard Drive

**NOTE** Do Not extract to an External Hard Drive ... it will not run if you do so.

3] Run Setup.Bat and press any key to continue the extraction when prompted
4] It'll ask you for 2 things after a while DirectX Dialog Box to update AND a C++ Redistributable ... in this process I suggest keeping your internet connection alive just in case.

5] Once installed run CoDWaW.Exe

**NOTE** If you get the Punkbuster Failed to Initialize then close Game. Right click your network icon that looks like two computers next to each other bottom right of screen Right Click > Disable

Load up game and you should be able to play solo games now.

Things to remember = Setup.Bat seems to already set your key into the registry so to Post # 30 these files DO NOT require a keygen. This seems to be a RIP and not FULL meaning it's just off a folder you extracted and requires NO actual install like you would do with others. This is why I suggest to do it to your desktop cause the setup.bat installs the key to your registry in the process.

Oh yeah Post # 29 between 5% and 10% I noticed a slow down but do realize the Data.Cab files may be huge files so require more time to extract it's like extracting a 100mb vs a 1mb file it takes longer so be patient. It took me about 30 - 40 minutes to extract it all even with a dual-core cpu @ 2.20 so yea patience.

Hope this helped and someone else posts the steps in page 1 I think so people read all comments before you begin downloading just in case! Usually the last page in the thread tells you whether the game is active or needs to be re-upped.

Great software, but when I install it asks for the key. The key isn't provided with the zip file. Anyone know what serial key to use. The text file only gives link back to www.dl4all.com
