How to reset ZoneAlarm

Manually:

1. Delete
"C:\Windows\Internet Logs\backup.rdb"
and
"C:\Windows\Internet Logs\iamdb.rdb"

2. Restart.

3. Open "C:\WINDOWS\Internet Logs\" and delete everything, except backup.rdb and iamdb.rdb


Automatically:

1. Hold down the Ctrl and Shift keys together, then right-click on the ZoneAlarm icon in the Notification Area (Clock area) and select "Reset" from the menu.

Note: Do not restore any previous settings in case your backup is also corrupted. You may need to repeat the process more than once.


Create "Quick Launch" shortcuts (confirm paths):

ZoneAlarm Auto Update
C:\WINDOWS\system32\ZoneLabs\updclient.exe -a -fC:\WINDOWS\system32\ZoneLabs\\ZoneAlarm.xml -uav -uas -tZLUpdate

ZoneAlarm Manual Update:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\ZoneLabs\updclient.exe -fC:\WINDOWS\system32\ZoneLabs\\ZoneAlarm.xml -uav -uas -tZLUpdate
