most of my people may find it too DifficulT to install the maya licence
in order to use their newly bOUGHT software.

we came a long way since the days of osama chan of version 4.5 fame where
if you could manage to follow the instructions of the crack then you deserved
a masters in computer science cryptology.

however from maya complete/unlimited versions from 6 have simpler licence
installation methods but still a lot of people can not get the software to
work.

i found the solution from a guy on the web and its quite simple really,
because the problem lies with the Ethernet card which the licencing manager
did not find on the computer.

see, the licencing method needs a 'Hardware ID' in order to function.

this ID is actually read from the Ethernet card if one is installed, but
of course for the majority of computers it ain't.Loopback Adapter, which
you can find from your computer at the control panel as:

Start/Settings/Control Panel/Add Hardware .... Add a new hardware device...
/Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Manually)

then at the next selection dialog box choose Network adapters.
next dialog box choose Microsoft one left caption and on the right one
select Microsoft Loopback Adapter. after following the installation of it
dutifully you will be asked to give this thing a name, lets call it dl4all.

after having done so go to the Control Panel and start the Networks applelet.
you should see the dl4all connection there. right click it and this is a tricky
part. i advice you get your IT-savy friend to help you with it, but you need to
install into this network the IP/TCP protocol and services and set it up just
like a real Dial-up MODEM connection.

once this is done you can then proceed to install your flexlm licence as per
the nfo instructions if you want or you can just install maya first, its your
choice.

i havent tried it but i guess if you install the licence first, then once maya
is installed then it will directly open without aksing for the licence routine.
because it would have found the licence already. stands to reason aint so ?
