Filled with interesting anecdotes about healing powers and other lore of garlic, the film includes interviews with garlic lovers from Lloyd John Harris, founder of “Lovers of the Stinking Rose,” to Chez Panisse founder Alice Waters. In the inaugural year of her renowned restaurant—and each of the years since—Waters has hosted a garlic feast every July 14, Bastille Day, to celebrate "the garlic harvest, liberty, equality, fraternity, and sorority."
