secondly, its more than likely a file that has been compressed by 90% wont work. Yes you will be able to extract it, burn ISO onto an DVD but when you install it your system may not have the correct requirements..

download = 5 minutes, extract rar = 30-60 minutes, burn ISO = 1+ hour, installation = 1+ hour....save the hassel and your time!

look, spend 110 and get Vista, or wait for Windows 7 or get Apple Snow Leapard for $29 dollars....

Dont get XP themes, dont get transformation packs.....i download everything apart from windows operating systems...

+ a lot of patience + and finally a lot of time to compress.

This XP thing, it takes 3 minutes to decompress on a laptop.
But I can't boot, obv what was a I thinkig, as if it wud work!

amilasurendra is right. Try opening any of those files with Notepad++ or similar text editor. You will find NIL NIL NIL NIL all over :P. These are fakes.

What i 'm trying to say is this vista does not work.

What i meant by hacking is leave file signature and fill data with zeros. I know thats not a compression basic.I'm talking here about dummy files. Not about high quality compression algorithms.

I tried once with KGB archiver, Paq8 with best compression.It took about 11 hours to compress 100 mb files ( collection of various file types). It could achieve compression ratio of 19%.

In this post you'll see that compression ratio is 0%.
No compression software can achieve it. You can try this your own by making a such file.
just use FSUTIL command in windows & make a dummy file.
compress it with winrar, normal compression. You will get a file of few KBs.
With a compression Ratio of 0%.
Thats what they do.

You are a good commentator. But with this kind of comments you will loose confidence in you.
If a good compression algorithm been used it takes time to compress as well as to decompress.
All this posts extracts quickly, the normal time it takes to uncompress a standard RAR.

This compression ratio is archived by hacking files.What they do is just leave file signature and fill data with zeros. then it has original file size and when it compressed it takes very low space, just to hold file signature

I have only one question, Could you install windows from that DVD from beginning to the end ?

This cannot be done, even with the best compressor in the world, unless you are compressing empty space, which is what this is

What you get is a "LongHorn DVD.iso" not exactly Vista , and sure enough it is 800meg, have not installed
