Gameplay
Players use their weapons in every possible way as they hack and slash their way through hordes of enemies. In conjunction with this blading; however, players must use their magic ability via time in order to defeat their ancient enemies and conquer their quest.

Fight as British, Americans, Russians or Germans through more than 30 challenging missions across Europe in this tactical 3D isometric Real Time Strategy game. Although it might sound like a typical World War II RTS, Soldiers: Heroes of World War II has some features that makes it unique. The most distinct feature is Direct Control that allows you to precisely command your units and vehicles (such as a tank or a jeep), with the arrow keys to move and mouse to aim with. This gives the the feel of an old time arcade action game. Note that this is not like other action- strategy games (i.e. Battlezone) that changes the perspective to an first person view, but keeps the isometric view throughout the game. Other features that sets it apart from the RTS norm is the advanced physics engine that allows everything to be destroyed and a hit system where for example tanks take more damage from the rear than from the front (no energy bars like in other RTS games). This gives the game additional depth to the tactical mechanics of the game. Things like these in combination with the openness of each map makes sure that there is always several ways to complete each mission. The game also features an inventory system similar to RPGs, with a drag and drop interface. This allows you to pick up equipment from fallen enemy soldiers.

The Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen 2 is a 3rd person adventure game, more similar in perspective to Soul Reaver than the first Blood Omen game. The player controls from behind Kain's shoulder and can move him in different directions, attack, jump, use "dark gifts" and grab on to ledges. Kain's life energy steadily depletes and must be replenished constantly by drinking blood. Blood is found by consuming any living creature nearby, often requiring defeating an enemy through combat first. As Kain consumes blood, his meter is filled up. Once full, Kain gains additional health. Kain also learns new dark gifts throughout the game, by defeating boss creatures. Some gifts include: the ability to blend into mist, fire projectiles, use projectile telekinesis or make a great horizontal leap. Many of these abilities can be used to perform "stealth kills" which will instantly defeat a foe. Kain will fight using his bare hands, or by picking up daggers, swords, axes and other weapons. These weapons
all attack differently, eventually breaking, and can also be thrown at enemies from afar.
