: 2![]() Starring: Ozzy Osbourne, Zakk Wylde The return of Zack Wilde brings an energy filled set, tight and virtuostic. The band sounds awesome, OZZY feeds from this and sounds the best he has in years. He jumps, runs, curses and works the crowd into a frezy only as OZZY can. Many of the songs have been made in 80's and some even in 70's but they sound now as fresh as they sound then. Ozzy seems to enjoy the live concerts very much. Also Zakk Wylde and others are really well present in this concert. The solos and the songs are great. Zakk was simply terrific here, nailing every single note with conviction and with great style too ! His huge beard did give me a shock at first, and along with those wrist brace, he really did look like a true metal warrior lol. His lead playing on stage has improved tremendously since the Loud and Live days as he seems to be more careful and attentive to hitting the right notes. And damn those pinch harmonics of his .. : 3![]() The Fundamentals of Illustration - AVA Publishing / 2005 Illustration is a dirty word, or at least was until recently. Neither truly accepted by the art establishment nor the design industry, illustration has battled on regardless. Derided as whimsical by artists and arty by designers, illustration had found itself existing in a no-manÕs-land between the two. In education the discipline has fared no better - rarely given more than just studio space, the student illustrator has learnt to bend the rules and break across borders to gain access to facilities and equipment to facilitate their work. So life as an illustrator is not for the faint-hearted, it takes massive determination to face the demands and rigours of a career choice that can feel vastly unsupported, but against these odds the discipline has mounted an impressive return to form. How and why? According to The National Museum of Illustration in Rhode Island, USA, 'Illustrators combine personal expression with pictorial representation in order to convey ideasÕ - a useful description certainly, but one that falls short of fully capturing the essence of what the subject is or has been about. Describing the 'golden eraÕ, when magazines such as the Saturday Evening Post scoured the studios for great illustrators, Steven Heller the design writer and art director stated that 'Illustration was the peopleÕs artÕ. A sentiment echoed by the National Museum of Illustration - 'illustration serves as a reservoir of our social and cultural historyÕ, even going onto state - 'Illustration is therefore, a significant and enduring art formÕ. #6: Movie : Cadillac Records 2008

: 7![]() MP3 | 26 Tracks | 160 KBPS | Genre: Pop | 90 MB Andy Williams scored different kinds of hits at different periods in his career. In the 1950s, he had a handful of Top Ten pop hits in styles ranging from light rock & roll to Hawaiian music. In the 1960s, he made a transition to big ballads, many of them movie themes, and as a result was among the top album and easy-listening artists of the decade. Some of the songs most closely associated with him are not among his biggest hits as measured by the singles charts, if they were singles at all -- the primary example being his signature song, "Moon River," featured on his breakthrough LP, Moon River & Other Great Movie Themes, but never even released as a single. Given these circumstances, the compiler of a Williams best-of collection has more latitude in making his choices than he might for another artist. This collection includes Williams' classics such as "Music To Watch Girls By", "Can’t Get Used To Losing You", "Moon River", "Can’t Take My Eyes Off You", "On The Street Where You Live", "Up Up And Away", "House Of Bamboo", "Born Free". TrackList: 01. Music To Watch Girls By 02. I Can't Get Used to Losing You 03. Moon River 04. Can't Take My Eyes Off You 05. On the Street Where You Live #8: Music : The Beatles

: 9![]() It were a pop and rock band from Liverpool, England formed in 1960. Primarily the band consisted of John Lennon (rhythm guitar, vocals), Paul McCartney (bass guitar, vocals), George Harrison (lead guitar, vocals) and Ringo Starr (drums, vocals). Throughout their career, The Beatles are recognised for leading the mid-1960s musical "British Invasion" into the United States. Although their initial musical style was rooted in 1950s rock and roll and homegrown skiffle, the group explored genres ranging from Tin Pan Alley to psychedelic rock. Their clothes, styles, and statements made them trend-setters, while their growing social awareness saw their influence extend into the social and cultural revolutions of the 1960s. After the band broke up in 1970, all four members embarked upon solo careers. The Beatles are one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed bands in the history of popular music, selling over a billion records internationally. In the United Kingdom, The Beatles released more than 40 different singles, albums, and EPs that reached number one, earning more number one albums than any other group in UK chart history. This commercial success was repeated in many other countries; their record company, EMI, estimated that by 1985 they had sold over one billion records worldwide. According to the Recording Industry Association of America, The Beatles have sold more albums in the United States than any other band. In 2004, Rolling Stone magazine ranked The Beatles number one on its list of 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. According to that same magazine, The Beatles' innovative music and cultural impact helped define the 1960s, and their influence on pop culture is still evident today. In 2008, Billboard magazine released a list of top-selling Hot 100 artists to celebrate the chart's fiftieth anniversary; The Beatles reached #1 again Author: CaseMan | 18 June 2008 |
: 3![]() 4 CD Set | mp3 Format | 192 kbps | 350 MB Rick Nelson's lengthy career spanned 30 years, with records on the charts from the late '50s to the early '80s, yet most remember him only as "Little Ricky." This comprehensive, 100-song retrospective rectifies that, giving full scope to his remarkable and surprisingly robust career. Ricky Nelson was the first teen idol who grew up on television. His parents' Ozzie and Harriet Show afforded him the opportunity to sing, and he was groomed to be early TV's middle ground between Elvis and Pat Boone. Disc 1 captures this period, featuring his earliest hits such as "I'm Walkin'" and "Poor Little Fool," though others like Little Walter's "My Babe" and "There Goes My Baby", with sizzling guitar leads by James Burton, reveal a genuine rockabilly edginess, suggesting Ricky's truer leanings. : 1![]() mp3 Format | 224 kbps | Genre: Rock | 61.2 MB The Stray Cats, schoolmates from New York City, are the most popular and the best-known revival band in the world. They were young, lovable hoodlums offering carefree fun, singing about teenage frustrations and release, playing intensely, and goofing off, too, riding the bass and playing shirtless to show their skin and their tattoos. As befitted the recessionary times, the Stray Cats were simple: their stage setup was one amplifier and two drums (using wireless technology, the bass went straight into the PA system). Despite their youth, they were polished, professional, and steeped in 1950s music, favoring the harder side: Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran and the Rock'n'Roll Trio. Their stated goal was to bring recognition for rockabilly as British bands such as the Rolling Stones had for blues in the 1960s. Built for Speed is the best of the Stray Cats albums, and is excellent throughout. Track Listing: 1. Rock This Town 2. Built For Speed 3. Rev It Up & Go 4. Stray Cat Strut 5. Little Miss Prissy |
