This is rocks!. It's a Classic. This is what the original Loudness from the 80s sounded like. Back when you had to have talent to get a record deal. Not like the trash put out today. If you like LOUDNESS in the 80's you'll like this. If you like todays trash this is not for you. What makes these instrumentals so interesting isn't even Akira's talent as a guitarist, but the simple fact that Akira's song writing skills are at a very high level. He manages to pack all his instrumentals with memorable guitar melodies. But there's no denying the man knows a thing or two about playing guitar, as well as about writing musicOriginal Release Date: March 28, 2005 |

George Lynch was born in Spokane, Washington on September 28th 1954 and was raised in Sacramento, California, and is best known for being in the 80s hard rock band ‘’Dokken’’. He is a highly respected modern guitarist, compared to such players as Steve Vai and Eddie Van Halen. He is well known for his stunning legato technique and the common use of the scale he calls the ‘’Gothic Octave’’. George auditioned to be Ozzy Osbourne's guitarist twice, once in 1979, losing to the late, great, Randy Rhodes (and another time in 1982 to replace Brad Gillis). According to George, he was hired for three days until Ozzy changed his mind and decided to go with Jake E. Lee. Lee, however claims that Lynch ‘Got the gig’, but only went on the road for two weeks to watch the show, and never actually played with Ozzy. This is my truely favorite Guitar Player, with this Video Guitar Tutorial you will find amazing technique from him! Check it out He came to fame with Dokken in the 80’s, whom which he had been a member of since the 70’s. Dokken had a string of successful gold albums and Lynch's lead work was highly acclaimed on all of them and cemented his place in the legion of guitar heroes. Despite being hugely successful, Lynch left Dokken in 1990 due to tension with lead vocalist Don Dokken. George went and formed his own band ‘’Lynch Mob’’ whose style was similar to Dokken’s, but were never as successful. |

This album marks a complete change of sound for the band. The songs were longer, more complex, and featured lyrics about more than just driking & sex. Chris Holmes was never much of a lead guitarist, but on this disc even he steps up and delivers well. This album is heavy and dark (nicely broken up by "Forever Free," a great ballad). Was it the addition of Banali, who's clearly a stronger drummer that made the difference? Who can say, really? At the end of the day, this album took WASP to a new level. If you don't have this and you're any kind of WASP fan, do yourself a favor and pick this on up. Right off the bat, "The Heretic (The Lost Child)" kicks into high gear and sets the pace for the record. Track 2 is a rocking cover of the Who's "The Real Me," which received heavy rotation on MTv back in the day. The Headless Children is packed from beginning to end with interesting songs that make you wonder what happened to the simple rock songs these guys used to churn out. WASP was a band that always rode just under the crest of the Glam Metal wave of the late 19 80s. They were too antisocial to gain much radio play and too heavy for many Glam fans. The hairspray, makeup and songs about girls alienated many other metal fans. However, WASP made too much noise to be ignored. |

Yngwie J. Malmsteen's "Alchemy" is an amazing album from start to finish. Being the first album that Yngwie himself has written and arranged everything on, he did a fabulous job. The album has heavy material pretty much all the way through. He left the commercial material off of this one. Yngwie Malmsteen is arguably the most technically accomplished hard rock guitarist to emerge during the ' 80s. Combining a dazzling technique honed over years of obsessive practice with a love for such classical composers as Bach, Beethoven, and Paganini, Malmsteen's distinctively Baroque, gothic compositional style and lightning-fast arpeggiated solos rewrote the book on heavy metal guitar. His largely instrumental debut album, Rising Force, immediately upped the ante for aspiring hard rock guitarists and provided the major catalyst for the ' 80s guitar phenomenon known as "shredding," in which the music's main focus was on impossibly fast, demanding licks rather than songwriting. Rhoma Irama is an Famous Indonesian dangdut singer. During the height of his stardom in the 1970s, he became the self-proclaimed Raja Dangdut (King of Dangdut) with the group Soneta. Rhoma Irama was receive the PhD award from the American University of Hawaii in February 2005. He also one of the artists on the only CD containing dangdut music in the United States, which was released on Smithsonian Folkways Recordings as part of its Indonesian music series. With this you will hear many famous hits from Rhoma Irama: " Begadang", " Judi", " Piano" and more. Enjoy the music...Come on, forget the lyrics..Celeberate your New Year's Party with this...And dance! In the late 1960s a new popular music called dangdut emerged from the slums and suburbs of Jakarta in Indonesia. The music was performed on an electrified and modernized version of the older acoustic orkes melayu orchestra and combined influences from Indian and Malaysian film music, Islamic popular music and American popular song, primarily rock. The name dangdut is an onomatopoeic reference to the tabla-like pair of drums used in the ensemble that supply the genre with its defining rhythm: DANG dut, in which a heavy, low-sounding pitch off the beat ("dang") is followed by a light, higher pitch note on the downbeat ("dut"). The form was originally characterized by love duets between young men and women. |

"SHUT UP – WE KNOW YOU CAN PLAY!” This is a Video instruction how to play "For The Love of God" note by note in PASSION AND WARFARE Album Widely acclaimed as his best album, Passion and Warfare finds Steve Vai coming into his own as a composer, as well as bypassing vocals almost entirely. His style isn't quite as derivative of influences Frank Zappa and Joe Satriani as it was six years earlier on Flex-able; while some of Vai's sense of humor is still evident on tracks like the cock rock strut of "The Audience Is Listening," it is mostly replaced by a spiritual reflectiveness on ballads like "For the Love of God" and "Blue Powder" and dignified, committed rockers like "I Would Love To" and "Liberty." Vai is a more distinguished composer than most of his guitar-shredder contemporaries, and rather than simply showing off his technique, he isn't afraid to experiment or take chances in his playing. Thus, Passion and Warfare is arguably the richest and best hard rock guitar-virtuoso album of the ' 80s. Steve Vai (SV) took time out from talking to muso mags to shoot the breeze with me backstage at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 4 June 1997. Mike Keneally (MK) also joined us on the fat floating sofa in Steve’s dressing room. |

From the early to mid 80s, heavy metal took off as a new and expanding form of what rock music was truly capable of doing. First in the 80s there was the new wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) scene, followed by a split direction in the mid 80s with the lighter glam metal and the heavier thrash metal movements. However, there was also a category which falls right inbetween the two called Power Metal. It combines the themes and heaviness of real heavy metal bands with the melodic and mainstream stylings of glam metal into an unbeatable synthesis. Yngwie Malmsteen's Rising Force was one of the forerunners of modern power metal, appearing in the mid 80s with an excellent trio of masterpiece albums. Unlike thrash, NWOBHM, and glam, power metal was a genre which did not take off in America nor England, but rather it thrived in lesser countries of Europe such as Finland and Sweden. To this day, power metal is the ONLY remaining form of true metal music, not that rap/metal poser junk which plagues modern American radio. Rising Force consists of members Jeff Scott Soto on vocals, Yngwie J. Malmsteen on guitars, Marcel Jacob on bass, Anders Johansson on drums, and Jens Johansson on keyboards (for those who didn't know, Jens eventually joined Dio and then in the mid 90s teamed up with Stratovarius). Everyone performs reasonably well on here, from Soto's soaring vocals to Jens Johansson's melodic keyboard textures and harpsichord solos (which he would be later famous for in Stratovarius). While everyone plays well, IT'S YNGWIE'S GUITAR PLAYING THAT TRULY STANDS OUT PHENOMENALLY. |

|

By the late 80s, "shred" was somewhat popular -- the new wave of progressive " musician's bands" who could play mind-blowing complicated riffs on their instruments at lightning speeds. Mr. Big combined two popular musical trends of the rock scene: a particular brand of hard rock, often referred to as cock-rock, focused on melodies and listener-friendly choruses, and impressive technical proficiency, then called shredding. Mr. Big, one of the few bands to master both technical playing and "song" playing, and it's a shame that most people aren't familiar with them beyond one song. " Lean Into It" certainly has its share of dazzling playing in the solos and certain intros, but over all it's an album that non- musicians are going to like too. This was the real big turning point in their writing direction. The album includes solid rock such as Daddy Brother.., groovy sound such as Road To Ruin, great soulful melodic rock track Green-Tinted Sixties Mind. It could give you nice starting point to get to know the BIG rockers. Mr. Big was an American hard rock super group. Formed in 1988, Mr. Big was particularly popular in Japan. Mr. Big are probably best known for their 1991 rock hit, " Lean Into It" released in 1991 is their greatest success so far in the U.S. To Be With You became #1 and Just Take My Heart became huge hit in the U.S. |

An amazing work by an amazing musician. A lot of people pigeonhole Steve Vai into being just another guitarist, a relic of the shred-happy ' 80s. But take another listen. Forget his stints in Alcatrazz and Whitesnake, forget that ridiculous triple-necked heart guitar that backed David Lee Roth, and listen to Vai's own music, made on his own terms. Yes, he is an incredibly talented guitarist, but he's also much more, a true modern-day composer. No matter how off-the-wall his songs seem, there's an amazing musical quality and deep spirituality that underscores every note in his truly amazing body of work. The first phase is pure magic, especially the Fire Garden Suite. His lyrics are a little corny in some of the tracks in phase 2, but his voice, while not the most beautiful in the world, fits every song perfectly. In closing, this is an amazing album in both its scope and its execution, giving the listener a glimpse at the many sides of Steve Vai, the man. This is a wonderful album. So much melody, so many twists and turns, so much fun. A definite must-have; This album recommended highly enough |

Steve Vai’s technical mastery of the guitar is such that, like a gunslinger of old, he used to challenge the audience at Frank Zappa gigs to bring along music scores for him to sight read live on stage. Naturally enough Vai’s reputation spread and his solos soon became one of the benchmarks that aspiring guitarists measure themselves against. A brief spell in 1985 with Alcatrazz (replacing Yngwie Malmsteen), followed by a couple of years with David Lee Roth, who had by that time split, very publicly, from Eddie Van Halen. His iconic status also led to a collaboration with Ibanez with whom has designed several signature guitars. Steve Vai's guitar work on that album is really amazing, and for the most part totally unconventional. What a monster. What’s What With … Steve Vai You may not know the name Steve Vai. But unless you think that heavy metal is just the stuff you don’t want in your drinking water, you’ve undoubtedly heard his screamingly fast guitar work, since he’s played with the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, David Lee Roth, Frank Zappa, and Whitesnake. Since leaving that world of overindulgence in the ’ 80s, Vai has maintained a successful solo career with more than a dozen albums; he appears tonight at the Keswick and on Saturday at the Borgata. I caught up with this six-string soldier before sound check. — Victor Fiorillo |

#14: Music : EXTREME - Saudades de Rock (Release Date: August 4, 2008) |

Extreme is a US Rock band that achieved popularity in the late 19 80s and early 1990s. Some of Extreme's influences, Queen and Van Halen (the latter of which Gary Cherone would eventually join and later leave), are readily apparent from their music's multi-part vocal harmonies and electric guitar tone and instrumental techniques. The band lends the listener a sound that blends the genre of glam metal with the shredding guitar work of thrash metal. Being asked about their style, Extreme categorized their music as 'Funky Metal'. Extreme has released four studio albums, two EPs (in Japan) and two compilations since its formation. The band was one of the most successful of those from the early 1990s, selling over 10 million albums worldwide. Extreme rose to fame with its 1990 release Pornograffitti, which peaked at #10 on the Billboard 200. Saudades de Rock (which roughly translates from Portuguese as "Nostalgic Yearning for Rock") is Extreme's fifth studio album that was released on August 4, 2008. It is the band's first album of new material since 1995's Waiting for the Punchline, and also their first release with new drummer Kevin Figueiredo. |

The original lineup of W.A.S.P. was formed in Los Angeles, California in 1982 by Blackie Lawless, Rik Fox, Randy Piper and Tony Richards. The band became notorious for its raunchy and, at times, shocking live shows. Lawless was known to tie semi-naked models to a torture rack, and to also hurl raw meat into the audience. The band's debut single, entitled Animal (**** Like a Beast), and its cover were equally controversial. The first lineup didn't last for long, as Rik Fox was let go and went onto join the band Steeler with (then unknown) vocalist Ron Keel and guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen. He was replaced by Don Costa. Shortly afterwards, Don Costa also left the band and his position on the bass was filled by Lawless. At the same time, guitarist Chris Holmes joined the band. W.A.S.P. signed to Capitol Records for their debut album, W.A.S.P., released on August 17, 1984. The debut was at one time planned for release with the title "Winged Assassins". The band's first single Animal (**** Like a Beast) was omitted from the album in the United States to prevent it from being banned from major chain stores. |

No doubt about it. Sammy puts on the best live shows ever, but most of his success is from his old stuff. The two songs with Neil Schon jam big time and riff master Billy Duffy (The Cult) churns out another one on Loud! Overall, the cd is very solid and Sammy's voice just gets better with age. Is this guy really in his 60's? Sammy Hagar is still THE RED ROCKER, with this new cd he is doing a great job at it. LYRICS? Who listens to Sammy for his lyrics anyway. LISTEN TO HIS VOICE! this one just simply ROCKS! This albumn really does rock, is really an excellent tune! The song that completely tune LOUD The Red Rocker has been pretty consistent since leaving Van Halen back in 1996, releasing a new album every few years. For the most part they've been pretty good; even if they weren't classics there'd be at least a couple of songs fans of old-school 70s/ 80s rock would like. The hard-rocking "Ten 13" (2000) and the Jimmy Buffet-esque "Livin' it Up" (2006) were especially good. After parting ways with vocalist DAVID LEE ROTH, the remaining members of the band Van Halen contacted many potential replacements. Given Eddie's appreciation of Montrose and his car mechanic's suggestion, the band auditioned and quickly hired Hagar to fill the opening. With Hagar at the front, VAN HALEN produced four multi-platinum, |

|

Open Up and Say... Ahh! is the second studio album by American glam metal band Poison, released in 1988 through the Enigma label of Capitol Records. The album, which ultimately sold eight million copies worldwide, proved to be the band's most successful release. It spawned four hit singles, which are "Nothin' but a Good Time", "Your Mama Don't Dance", "Fallen Angel", and their only number one single to date, "Every Rose Has Its Thorn". The album is widely considered a classic in the glam metal genre. Open Up and Say... Ahh! reflects a style commonly characterised as glam metal, a form of heavy metal which had its genesis on the East Coast of the United States (and, in particular, the sound of New York City band Kiss), but which was transplanted to the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles, California in the 19 80s. However, the album contains less of a heavy metal influence than a typical glam metal album, rather being more traditional rock and roll-based. The west-coast influence is reflected more prominently on the album than on its predecessor, Look What the Cat Dragged In, with aspects of Van Halen styled Californian stadium rock becoming increasingly apparent. |

Can you imagine what it would sound like if Whitesnake or Cinderella had covered Iron Maiden? Well, listen to this album and all the non-Di'Anno tracks will give you a clearer idea. Those track are mainstream-sounding and would have been perfect in the heyday of "Hair Metal". This isn't a negative criticism, as most are actually quite nice to listen to, but this simply isn't Maiden. The power and rawness are absent and these covers sound a bit bland. Paul Gilbert (born November 6, 1966 in Illinois, United States of America ) is an American guitarist, he began playing music at age five, and by age but soon gave up, becoming frustrated with just learning simple nursery rhymes. Around age 11, he took up the guitar again, but with a skewed memory of the technique; he played only with upstrokes, and only used his middle finger to Paul Gilbert. Frustrated after trying to play a fast metal song with a galloping rhythm using this technique, he took lessons, and his teacher explained the error of his ways. His technique corrected, Gilbert continued practicing, and by the age of 15 he was not only touring local clubs with his band Tau Zero but was even spotlighted in Guitar Player alongside fellow up-and-comer Yngwie Malmsteen. Now, he is recognized as one of the best metal guitar players, a status due to his undeniably amazing technique, clarity, creativity and versatility.15 was not only touring local clubs with his band Tau Zero but was even spotlighted in Guitar Player magazine alongside fellow up-and-comer Yngwie Malmsteen. In 1984 Gilbert relocated to Los Angeles to attend the Guitar Institute of Technology, becoming an instructor there the following year; concurrently he formed the band Electric Fence, which by 1986 evolved into Racer X. Their debut album Street Lethal appeared later that year, but in the wake of the follow-up, 1987's Second Heat, Gilbert exited to join Mr. Big, which in 1992 topped the pop charts with the ballad "To Be with You." Mr. Big disbanded in 1996, and a year later Gilbert made his solo debut with King of Clubs; Flying Dog followed in 1998, trailed by Beehive Live in 1999 and Alligator Farm in fall 2000. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide |

MP3 | 25 Tracks | 192 KBPS | Covers Included | Genre: Rock | 158 MB Billy Joel's Greatest Hits Vol. 1-2 contains all the best songs from his peak years of 1973-1985. By condensing the highlights from the best part of his career (1973-1985) onto two discs, it hightlights the reason for his massive popularity during that time period. The album starts out with a selection of his best pre-stardom songs, including, of course, "Piano Man," but also other strong cuts like the teenage loser anthem "Captain Jack," "Say Goodbye to Hollywood," and "The Entertainer." Then comes a generous helping of songs from his 1977 breakthrough album, "The Stranger," including the massive hits "Just the Way You Are," and "She's Always a Woman." The second disc is then mostly a run through of Joel's succession of late 70s and early 80s hits, starting with the teenage independence ode "My Life" and ending with 1985's "You're Only Human." All in all, this is the perfect collection of Joel's music for the casual fan who doesn't want to splurge for all of the original albums. |

#22: Music : LOAD - Metallica (TAB+MP3) |
 |

|
| |
Load is the sixth album by American heavy metal band Metallica, released in June 1996. It has sold over 5 million copies in the US as certified by the RIAA. After the 14 million copies of The Black Album sold in America, the 5 million Load sold was somewhat of a disappointment commercially. The album marked the band's return to the musical landscape, approximately five years after the release of their international smash success, Metallica. Load saw the band embrace a collective sound and identity far removed from their thrash metal roots. As on previous releases, the fourteen songs that would eventually make up the album began as rough demos created by principal songwriters James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich in Ulrich's basement recording studio, "The Dungeon." The band took over 30 demos into The Plant Studios in the spring of 1995 where they would work for approximately the next year. Once again, Metallica teamed up with famed producer Bob Rock, who had been at the helm during the recording process for Metallica. The songwriting dispenses almost entirely with the thrash metal style that characterized the band's sound in the 19 80s. In place of staccato riffs, Hetfield and lead guitarist Kirk Hammett experimented with more blues-based tones and styles. Ulrich adopted a minimalist approach to his drum recording, abandoning the speed and complex double bass patterns of previous albums. Hetfield displayed a lyrical evolution as well, writing what many feel to be his most personal and introspective lyrics. "Until it Sleeps," the album's lead single, addressed his father's losing battle with cancer, while "Mama Said" explored his relationship with his mother. All of this marked a departure from the political and social overtones of albums like ...And Justice for All. |

mp3 Format | 128-320 kbps | 70 MB There's a cool new development in summer singles: they no longer need to be sunny. In fact, the wetter the better. "Umbrella," the first single off Rihanna's ragingly good third album, may be her strongest ditty yet, and that's saying something considering her run of past summer chartbusters. More stylish than "S.O.S." (from A Girl Like Me) and more interesting than "Pon de Replay" (from Music of the Sun), "Umbrella" barrels forward with big, brawny drums and a hot but haunted-sounding vocal. From there, the upbeat numbers chug forth like chilled pina colada mix into a blender: "Breakin' Dishes" trades skillfully on a recent vogue for man-directed venom, and "Shut Up and Drive" borrows "S.O.S."-style from the ' 80s New Order song "Blue Monday." Both are irresistible. So, too, are a couple of late tracks. "Rehab" and "Lemme Get That," both produced by Timbaland, prove that being an island girl is no barrier to holding one's own amid a sizzling stew of urban beats. In fact, it's a boon--one that'll register with pop music fans instantly. |

4 CD Set | mp3 Format | 192 kbps | 350 MB Rick Nelson's lengthy career spanned 30 years, with records on the charts from the late '50s to the early ' 80s, yet most remember him only as "Little Ricky." This comprehensive, 100-song retrospective rectifies that, giving full scope to his remarkable and surprisingly robust career. Ricky Nelson was the first teen idol who grew up on television. His parents' Ozzie and Harriet Show afforded him the opportunity to sing, and he was groomed to be early TV's middle ground between Elvis and Pat Boone. Disc 1 captures this period, featuring his earliest hits such as "I'm Walkin'" and "Poor Little Fool," though others like Little Walter's "My Babe" and "There Goes My Baby", with sizzling guitar leads by James Burton, reveal a genuine rockabilly edginess, suggesting Ricky's truer leanings. |
