The renowned scientist in charge of Project TubeTwist has gone missing! In an attempt to find the professor, you must reconstruct her experiments and solve the mystery of her disappearance.

The overall goal of the game is to construct a machine that will guide the professor's Macroton devices from their starting positions to a final reactor tube where their energy will be extracted and stored for later use. Over thirty different tubes of various shapes and sizes must be combined to complete the machines including spirals, switches, anti-gravity devices, twisty turns and precipitous drops.

TubeTwist is a puzzle game fashioned after classics like The Incredible Machine and Mouse Trap. Each experiment has many solutions due to the large variety of tubes which can be used to construct each machine. This was the first Megadeth album to feature Marty Friedman and Nick Menza. After Cacophony called it quits because of a lack of commercial success, Marty taught guitar for a brief period, and then took over the position of lead guitarist for Megadeth. Megadeth soon released Rust In Peace, which was a huge success, undoubtably because of the contribution that Marty made to the album. Marty together with new drummer Nick Menza instantly redefined Megadeth's sound.

Marty's innovative leads added a new dimention to the band, which was before mostly driven by Dave Mustaine's aggressive rhythm guitar. In the first episode, Ross prepares for deployment and joins up with 1 Royal Anglian as they train during a cold British winter on Salisbury Plain. They're training for what they will face in Afghanistan, which includes convoy protection and deploying from Chinook helicopters. During one exercise, Ross' group is attacked and Ross and several others are told that they have been 'killed' by the enemy.
It's a sobering thought.
Three months later Ross will be playing this scenario for real.

Ross comments on the making of these programmes; "Conditions in Afghanistan are intolerable. The heat is stifling and there's the constant threat of snipers, RPG attacks and land mines. During one engagement between B Company and the Taliban we were pinned down by enemy fire in open ground; bullets fizzed by inches from our heads, hitting the ground on either side of us. It was the most frightening experience of my life. I’ve never hugged the ground as tightly as I did when that happened. It's definitely the closest I have ever come to dying. I was so scared."
