Ozzmosis is an album by Ozzy Osbourne. It was originally released on October 23, 1995, through Epic Records. After Osbourne's supposed retirement for four years, he regrouped with guitarist Zakk Wylde, bassist Mike Inez, drummer Randy Castillo, and producer Michael Wagener to record a comeback album. Epic Records told Wagener that they want "exactly the same record as No More Tears." After seven songs were recorded from start to finish, the record company executives, after listening to the tracks (which included future b-sides "Aimee," "Living With The Enemy," and the Prince of Darkness box set version of "See You On The Other Side"), said, "Now we want it to sound like Soundgarden." The project was then scrapped and later handed off to Soundgarden producer Michael Beinhorn to finish. Sometime after the sessions with Wagener, Inez and Castillo were replaced with Geezer Butler (who had recently left Black Sabbath after a major falling out with Tony Iommi) and Deen Castronovo (currently with Journey). One song from the album, "My Little Man," was co-written with guitarist STEVE VAI for a project Osbourne planned to do with Vai, Bob Daisley, and Castronovo titled "X-Ray." Another song from this collaboration, "Dyin' Day", can be found in instrumental form on Vai's 1996 album FIRE GARDEN. |

Steven "Steve" Siro Vai (born June 6, 1960 in Carle Place, New York) is an American instrumental rock guitarist, songwriter, vocalist, producer, and actor. After starting his professional career as a music transcriptionist for Frank Zappa, Vai would also record and tour in Zappa's backing band starting in 1980. The guitarist began a solo career starting in 1984 and has released 13 solo albums as of 2008. Apart from his work with Frank Zappa, Vai has also recorded and toured with numerous musical artists including Alcatrazz, David Lee Roth and Whitesnake. Vai has been a regular touring member of the G3 Concert Tour which began in 1996. In 1999 Vai started his own record label Favored Nations with the intent to showcase, as Vai describes: "...artists that have attained the highest performance level on their chosen instruments." With this you can find 2 articles and a book: 10 Hour Workout, 30 Hour Path To Virtuoso Enlightenmen, and Guitar Books...From Steve Vai Vai also helped design his signature Ibanez JEM series of guitars. They feature a hand grip (fondly referred to as a "monkey grip") cut into the top of the body of the guitar, a humbucker-single coil-humbucker DiMarzio pickup configuration with several different types of pickup including Evolution, Breed and EVO 2. He also uses an Ibanez Edge double-locking tremolo system (the current production JEMs have the newer Edge Pro), as well as an elaborate and extensive "Tree of Life" inlay down the neck. Vai also equips many of his guitars with an Ibanez Backstop, a tremolo stabilizer that has been discontinued. Lately Vai has also equipped some of his guitars with True Temperament fretboards in order for his chords to sound completly in tune.[6] Vai also has a 7-string model designed by him named Ibanez Universe. The Universe later influenced the 7-string guitars used by Korn and other bands to create nu metal sounds in the late 1990s. He also has a signature Ibanez acoustic, the Euphoria. Before he used Ibanez, he briefly endorsed Jackson guitars, but this relationship would only last for two years. |

The multicolor die-cast zinc case of the new Steve Vai signature distortion pedal makes sure it will stand out on even the most crowded pedal board. with both TS9 Tubescreamer overdrive as well as the classic distortion tones long associated with Steve Vai. All sections and of this carefully Steve Vai-tweaked and modified. Wach him demonstrated use The Jemini. Very interesting video! " You're stomping all over my brilliant idea, but that's OK, you're supposed to. The goal was to create a schizophrenic type distortion pedal that allows you to have two different settings with two different sounding distortion pedals, all wrapped up in a psycho-delic bullet proof package. Now you can get your dirty little groove on in public... legally. Stomp on!" — Steve Vai Steve Vai is an odd man. how many people come up with their own scale? So it's no surprise really when Steve decides to do a two person review of his new pedal with himself. Still, it's good to see he has a sense of humour, especially about himself. This new pedal of his distortion. You will find the demo's to be to round and muddy. Steve Vai has always been one of the biggest guitar heros and a constant inspiration so you always will interested when you see he has a new product out. Now the Ibanez Jemini has been out a while in fact it was announced at winter NAMM 2008, see the post here, but Mr Vai just posted a video up on his YouTube channel of erm, well Steve Vai and Steve Vai doing a demo of the 2 channel distortion pedal. Not only does it show the 2 different distortion channels it is also pretty entertaining to watch, Steve has a good sense of humour and abuses himself throughout which is funny. |
