A few months ago, I had the privilege of playing David Douillet judo for the PC. The game not only looks sharp, but plays very well. There are a number of judokas, each with their own individual strengths and weaknesses.. Some have great burst strength, but their technique is lessened and visa versa.The game sees you work your way up through local to international talent, honing your judo abilities. the dynamics of the game revolve around timing. You are presented with the ability to move in 3-directional, with technique emphasised on three different areas, represented by three different buttons - lapel, belt and feet.

With movement, you are presented the option to perform different combinations. With great timing, you can also counter the movements.. The newaza section of the game is limited, but it is present. Fans of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or indepth Judo newaza, may be slightly dissapointed to see the limited Newaza section, however - this doesn't stop the overall fun of the game.The official website of the game has a free playable demo for the PC if you wish to try out the game. The game however is in French, so if you have problems navigating, just hit enter all the way through. The controls involve the arrow keys on your keyboard to move, and then 1, 4, 7 on the numpad for feet, belt and lapel.
