SimApp v2.61 | 5.47 MB SimApp is a dynamic simulation application created for modeling systems in the time and frequency domains. SimApp offers significant simulation power at a reasonable price, while reducing learning time. Once the dynamic behavior is understood, changes to the system can be made or control systems can be designed to make the system perform as desired. The computer simulation model is built visually through block diagrams. These signal-flow diagrams can represent a virtually unlimited range of systems. You may also elect to represent models in a matrix form (continuous or discrete), or as difference equations for digital controllers. You can use SimApp to evaluate analog feedback systems or digital systems implemented in a controller. SimApp contains many features that help you grow the model sophistication to the level needed for realistic results. Non-linear elements and custom inputs bring reality to the models. SimApp can also help you hide model complexity by building commonly used elements or subsystems into custom blocks. In this way you can also make SimApp your own - and uniquely tune it for your field of expertise.Time plots show the operation of your system at any point, as if you had connected an instrument to it. Plots can be made of the system over time to measure responses to external stimuli. Probes can be placed anywhere in the model and the results can be graphed or viewed in table form. Model results can be copied for use by other applications.Dynamics and control analysis can be performed in the frequency domain (Bode and Nyquist plots, Eigenvalues). This helps you determine stability of the system and evaluate strategies for optimization of performance. |

350 pages | 2004-07-31 | PDF | 8,5 MB MIMO (multiple input and multiple output) is the technology that is advancing the wireless industry from Third Generation (3G) to cutting edge Fourth Generation (4G) systems, and this book is the professional engineer's essential guide to MIMO. It takes readers step-by-step from the basics of MIMO through various coding techniques to such advance topics as multiplexing and packet transmission. Practical examples are emphasized and arcane math is kept to a minimum, so field engineers can quickly and thoroughly understand the essentials of MIMO. The book takes a systems view of MIMO technology to help engineers quickly analyze the benefits and drawbacks of any MIMO systems. Professionals find detailed coverage of a critical up-and-coming topic not covered in any other book -- direct interfacing of a CDMA system, such as IS-95 with an OFDM system. This approach helps engineers design systems that can meet the ever-increasing need for higher throughput wireless communication. |

The Economics of Banking By: Kent Matthews John Thompson ISBN: 0470090081 Publisher: John Wiley & Sons - 2005-07-18 Paperback 256 PagesThe Economics of Banking describes and explains trends and operations in banking within an accessible microeconomic framework. It incorporates theory with the practical aspects of banking so as to set banking within the economics paradigm. A primary section on trends within banking leads on to chapters on the microeconomics of banking, market structure and regulation. The overall objective is to provide a mathematically accessible microeconomic context that will help students understand and analyze trends and operations in banking. This book presents a balanced and timely introduction to space-time processing for MIMO communications, including highlights of emerging trends, such as spatial multiplexing and joint transceiver optimization. Includes detailed coverage of wireless channel sounding, modelling, characterization and model validation. Provides state-of-the-art research results on space-time coding, including comprehensive tutorial coverage of orthogonal space-time block codes. Discusses important recent developments in spatial multiplexing, transmit beam-forming, pre-coding and joint transceiver design for the multi-user MIMO downlink using full or partial CSI. Illustrates all theory with numerous examples gleaned from cutting-edge research from around the globe. |
