Dave Navarro is one of the most influential guitarists of his generation. His unmistakable guitar style with Jane's Addiction and the Red Hot Chili Peppers set a new direction for alternative rock. His guitar skills can be heard throughout RHCP's 1995 album One Hot Minute and Jane's Addiction's 2003 album Strays, for example. In this dynamic 60-minute DVD, Dave demonstrates his guitar style and technique. He breaks apart his rhythm style, showing chordal licks, double stops and chord structure. Dave also breaks down many of his riffs and solos from his Jane's Addiction days as well as his work with the Red Hot Chili Peppers. No doubt about it. Sammy puts on the best live shows ever, but most of his success is from his old stuff. The two songs with Neil Schon jam big time and riff master Billy Duffy (The Cult) churns out another one on Loud! Overall, the cd is very solid and Sammy's voice just gets better with age. Is this guy really in his 60's?

The Red Rocker has been pretty consistent since leaving Van Halen back in 1996, releasing a new album every few years.
