Reissue of Blackie & the boys' 1985 album for Capitol with seven bonus tracks added: the B-sides 'Mississippi Queen' & 'Savage' and live versions of 'On Your Knees', 'Hellion', 'L.O.V.E. The second WASP album, and another incredibly solid effort. If you are a hard rock fan, you must not miss this one. The Last Command is the best W.A.S.P. album, surpassed only by The Headless Children. The sound of the music along with the shrill voice of Blackie Lawless make this an excellent buy for any W.A.S.P. fan. This is true eighties style metal.

In 1985 W.A.S.P. released their second album "The Last Command" which was a minor hit with a couple of tracks that had popular videos on mtv, those being Wild Child and Blind in Texas.Considering the 1980's was when this kind of music ruled the charts,it disappoints that this group was not more popular than they where. The original lineup of W.A.S.P. was formed in Los Angeles, California in 1982 by Blackie Lawless, Rik Fox, Randy Piper and Tony Richards. The band became notorious for its raunchy and, at times, shocking live shows. Lawless was known to tie semi-naked models to a torture rack, and to also hurl raw meat into the audience. The band's debut single, entitled Animal (**** Like a Beast), and its cover were equally controversial.

The first lineup didn't last for long, as Rik Fox was let go and went onto join the band Steeler with (then unknown) vocalist Ron Keel and guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen. He was replaced by Don Costa. Shortly afterwards, Don Costa also left the band and his position on the bass was filled by Lawless. At the same time, guitarist Chris Holmes joined the band.

W.A.S.P. signed to Capitol Records for their debut album, W.A.S.P., released on August 17, 1984. The debut was at one time planned for release with the title "Winged Assassins". The band's first single Animal (**** Like a Beast) was omitted from the album in the United States to prevent it from being banned from major chain stores.

The album Reload is essentially the tracks that were not finished from the Load sessions, at the time the band had planned to make Load a double album but after a lengthy stay in the studio they decided to split it up over two albums. The band insisted that these weren’t Load rejects and claimed that these songs were of a more extreme nature either heavier or mellower that needed more time spent so they decided to leave them for this album.

Kicking off with the bombastic Fuel, the album immediately announces itself as a “don’t fuck with this” type of affair. Memory bares another side of the met with an interesting choice of guest vocals by Marianne faithful (renowned for her escapades involving Mick Jagger and a mars bar!!) that offset the often-unrealised heaviness and greatness of the song. Devils Dance is a mother of a song, with a bass heavy grove underlying the entire journey with monstrous vocals throughout.

Up next we have an astonishing ballad in the form of the Unforgiven II, more than a reworking of the original with a character of its own whilst still being underpinned with the melody of the first from the Black Album. This track is immensely deep and powerful, an awesome track, and in an equal for the already acclaimed Unforgiven released some six years previous to this offering.
