The Looney Tunes Golden Collection was a yearly series of six four-disc DVD box sets from Warner Bros.' home video unit Warner Home Video, each containing about 60 Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies animated shorts. The series began in October 2003 and ended in October 2008The cartoons included on the set are uncut, unedited, and digitally restored and remastered from the original successive Technicolor film negatives (or, in the case of the black and white shorts, the original black and white negatives). However, some of the cartoons in these collections are derived from the "blue ribbon" reissues (altered from their original versions with their revised front-and-end credit sequences), as the original titles for these cartoons are presumably lost.

A handful of cartoons in the first two collections have digital video noise reduction (or DVNR) artifacting. The noise reduction process sometimes unintentionally erases or blurs some of the picture on certain scenes of the cartoons, which has caused controversy among some Looney Tunes fans. The most recent collections, however, lack such artifacting. (Since August 2007, Warner Bros. Home Video has been quietly reissuing copies of the fourth disc of Volume 2 that lacks artifacing and interlacing, the reason apparently because of numerous protests by animation buffs and consumers.)Beginning with Volume 3, a warning was printed on the packaging explaining that the collection is intended for adults and the content may not be suitable for children. That presumably goes along with Whoopi Goldberg's filmed introduction in Volume 3 that explains the history of ethnic imagery that frequently appears in cartoons of the 1930s and 1940s. Beginning with Volume 4, a singular disclaimer text card similar to Goldberg's spoken disclaimer precedes each disc's main menu.

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, also known as Ice Age 3, is a 2009 3-D computer animated film. It is the third installment of the Ice Age series. A sneak preview was shown in selected theaters on Father's Day in the United States. The film was produced by Blue Sky Studios and features the voices of Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, Queen Latifah, Seann William Scott, Josh Peck, Simon Pegg, and Chris Wedge, and the film is distributed by 20th Century Fox.

The film was released in RealD where available. The release sparked some controversy when Fox announced that it would no longer pay to supply 3D glasses to theaters,[2] which led to a number of exhibitors threatening to only show the film in standard 2D projection. There are three others that have been released, with the third and fourth (which shows Buck) being the most closely resembling each other. This is one of those rare and unsettling examples of a rock film which has the all the immediacy of reportage from a distant war-zone. The terrain is Olympic Studios in London in June 1968, where the Rolling Stones, recovering from the critical mauling of At Their Satanic Majesty's Request, are at work on the tracks that would become Beggars' Banquet.

The film-maker was Jean-Luc Godard, at the height of his reputation as Europe's most daring director. Godard had briefly left Paris for London in the wake of the Paris riots of May '68 with the aim of making a film about art, power and revolution. The Stones, at their most dazzling and Luciferian, were, as Godard saw it, perfect for the role of agents of anarchy in a movie whose stated aim was to 'subvert, ruin and destroy all civilised values'.

Widely acclaimed as his best album, Passion and Warfare finds Steve Vai coming into his own as a composer, as well as bypassing vocals almost entirely. His style isn't quite as derivative of influences Frank Zappa and Joe Satriani as it was six years earlier on Flex-able; while some of Vai's sense of humor is still evident on tracks like the cock rock strut of "The Audience Is Listening," it is mostly replaced by a spiritual reflectiveness on ballads like "For the Love of God" and "Blue Powder" and dignified, committed rockers like "I Would Love To" and "Liberty." Vai is a more distinguished composer than most of his guitar-shredder contemporaries, and rather than simply showing off his technique, he isn't afraid to experiment or take chances in his playing. Thus, Passion and Warfare is arguably the richest and best hard rock guitar-virtuoso album of the '80s.

John Michael "Ozzy" Osbourne (born December 3, 1948) is the lead vocalist of the pioneering English heavy metal band Black Sabbath, a multi-platinum, award-winning successful solo artist and the star of the reality show, The Osbournes. Osbourne would later form a band with classmate Tony Iommi after he auditioned for a lead singer.To distinguish themselves from the norm, Iommi and his partners decided to play a heavy blues-inspired style of music laced with gloomy lyrics. One day during rehearsals, the band noticed people queuing up outside a cinema where a horror film was being shown, and bassist Geezer Butler observed how curious it is that people like to be frightened. The film these fellows were waiting to see was the Mario Bava-directed Black Sabbath. After reading an occult book that Osbourne had let Butler borrow, Butler had a dream of a dark figure at the end of his bed. Afterwards, Butler wrote the lyrics to "Black Sabbath", one of their first songs, in a darker vein. It was the prototype of the songs that became their main style later in their career

Ice Age 2: The Meltdown is based on the movie of the same name. As a game based on a Blue Sky film, Ice Age 2 delivers with quality voice acting, visuals, and overall solid game play. While Ice Age 2 is excellent for a kid's movie game, it lacks the depth necessary-through initial game play, replay, or extras-to be a complete success. That said it's definitely worth renting if you enjoy the movie, enjoy platformers, or have children to play with

Ice Age 2 begins with Scrat, the funny and adorable main character who's a prehistoric squirrel. Scrat doesn't really speak; instead, he makes squeaky noises, often gleefully at the possibility of more nuts. Scrat is an absolutely adorable character and his character alone makes Ice Age 2 worth renting. Ice Age 2 is based almost entirely on Scrat's incessant hunt for nuts and more nuts. Because Scrat searches obsessively for nuts, the game play itself is based around collection. Collection alone is fine-and it's really cute to see Scrat maniacally fight for nuts-but after the first few thousand nuts it begins to be repetitive. The insane hunt for nuts does operate in game play as an incentive on certain puzzles and as a mechanism for certain puzzles where Scrat must pull at a nut lodged in the ground in order to change the level layout. During Scrat's search for nuts, Scrat meets with the characters Diego, Sid, and Manfred. The characters are voiced by the film stars, Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, and Dennis Leary, and one of Ice Age 2's few extras is that it offers film clips with each star discussing their work on the film. Aside from Scrat's minor meetings with the others and his hunt for nuts, the story doesn't develop too much-a move that helps the game avoid too much overlap with the film-and that helps Ice Age 2 sustain a fast platforming pace.
