Grand Prize Winner from the magazine's popular national recipe contest to appear on "The Early Show" on CBS
Millions of cupcakes will be baking in ovens coast to coast when Taste of Home's 3.5 million readers open their April/May 2007 issue. Winners of the magazine's national Cupcake Challenge recipe contest lead a sweet parade of handheld treats including a special online "Cupcake of the Week" newsletter.
The Grand Prize, selected from more than 1400 entries, went to Mary Bilyeu of Ann Arbor, Michigan for her Special Mocha Cupcakes. Mary will demonstrate how to bake her luscious confections—made with cocoa, coffee and a fluffy mocha frosting—alongside Taste of Home's editor-in-chief Catherine Cassidy on CBS's "The Early Show" on April 17, 2007.

Having just made it back onto the streets of Liberty City after a long stretch in maximum security, Tommy Vercetti is sent to Vice City by his old boss, Sonny Forelli. They were understandably nervous about his re-appearance in Liberty City, so a trip down south seemed like a good idea. But all does not go smoothly upon his arrival in the glamorous, hedonistic metropolis of Vice City. He's set up and is left with no money and no merchandise. Sonny wants his money back, but the biker gangs, Cuban gangsters, and corrupt politicians stand in his way. Most of Vice City seems to want Tommy dead. Smallville is an American television series developed by writers/producers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, based on the DC Comics character Superman created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. The television series was initially broadcast by The WB, first premiering on October 16, 2001.[1] After its fifth season, The WB and UPN merged to form The CW, which is the current broadcaster for the show in the United States.[2] Smallville was renewed for its ninth season on February 24, 2009.[3] The series follows the adventures of Clark Kent (Tom Welling), who resides in the fictional town of Smallville, Kansas, during the years before he becomes Superman. Plot: The film follows an ex-CIA "Preventer", who is faced with recovering his daughter after she is kidnapped by human trafficking|sex-traffickers in Paris, France.

Bryan (Liam Neeson), a former secret agent living in the US. He is skilled in hand to hand combat, divorced; and loves his 17-year-old daughter Kim (Maggie Grace) who lives with his ex-wife and her new husband Stuart (Xander Berkeley). Kim wants to take a vacation in Europe with her friend Amanda (Katie Cassidy), and together follow U2's European tour. Kim's mother allows this, but Kim also needs permission from her father. Since Kim fears that Bryan will not consent, she pretends that they will only stay in Paris. Reluctantly, Bryan agrees.

In contrast to Wall Street's hold-forever theorists, author Donald Cassidy believes we can understand stock volatility, and, subsequently, dodge market downturns and capitalize on bargain-basement prices. Buying and "holding forever," writes Cassidy, "is like suggesting you wear the same clothing year-round despite known radical changes in temperature and snow depth."

By learning the history of market patterns and understanding that emotions drive prices, he continues, rational investors can profit greatly from the mistakes of the masses.

Of course, predicting stock runs is easier said than done. Cassidy attempts to do so by charting market patterns from 1950 through the 1990s, profiling market and individual stock behavior at their peaks as well as their valleys. As for risky markets, he observes these patterns: "Two years or longer with no correction of at least 10 percent in the major averages; a long period of economic expansion already in place; large numbers of new companies going public."

Cassidy, a senior research analyst for Lipper Inc., also pays special attention to the psychology of investing, especially that of dealing with a market on the brink of change. He cites internal factors (greed, ego, perfectionism) and external influences (media, friends, brokers) that influence emotions, and, ultimately, drive markets. Finally, he offers clever ways to manage taxes as investors--ideally historically aware, rational investors--shift their portfolios toward low-risk, high-reward results.

Noted English screenwriter Richard Curtis makes his directorial bow with this romantic comedy that follows the dizzying foibles of no less than a dozen couples, featuring a cast that includes Hugh Grant as a bachelor British PM and Billy Bob Thornton as a disturbing hybrid of the worst of Clinton and Bush. Seemingly taking its lead from Bridget Jones's Diary and its sequel (both of which Curtis also wrote), Love's rich, eclectic collection of pop songs becomes something more than mere movie-soundtrack wallpaper. Indeed, tracks as disparate as Joni Mitchell's hauntingly autumnal remake of "Both Sides Now" and the Pointer Sisters' effusive '80s hit "Jump" function somewhere between supporting player and narrative Greek chorus. It's a mature, often introspective collection that mixes the expected chestnuts (the Beach Boys' evergreen "God Only Knows") and covers (Eva Cassidy's stately version of Christine McVie's "Songbird," an R&B-infused take of "All You Need Is Love" by Lynden David Hall) with standout work from Norah Jones (a torched-up "Turn Me On"), Texas (the Dusty Springfield-esque dramatics of "I'll See It Through"), and Wyclef Jean's joyous "Take Me As I Am."
