After a summer of free monthly DLC packs that added new multiplayer modes and features to F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin, the developers at Monolith have turned their attention back to the single player experience. In doing so comes F.E.A.R. 2: Reborn, a purchasable downloadable content pack that includes an all-new campaign. However, the story doesn't continue from the main game's cliffhanger ending. Instead, it puts players into the role of a replica soldier named Foxtrot 813 who has been "liberated" from his drone-like existence by the psychic call of Paxton Fettel. From then on, players must make their way to the Origin Facility, ground zero for the psychic explosion, where Fettel awaits.

Initial speculation pegged the game as a sandbox third person action game, similar to games such as Spider-Man 2 or The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction.[5] However, although some levels feel open and exploratory in nature, the game uses several mechanics (primarily radiation) which act as barriers. These barriers are used to prevent players from straying too far away from objectives giving levels a linear feel. Nathan Spencer is able to target enemies while hanging, climbing a building or even in mid-swing, while using an implement called the Bionic Arm which can also be used to attack enemies at close range. The Bionic Arm can be used to grab and launch objects such as boulders and cars at enemies.[6] In addition, he is equipped with boots that enable him to kick said objects at enemies, as well as throw them. These boots are also the reason Spencer does not take damage from extremely long falls.

1940. During World War II, the allies train a group of soldiers to accomplish special missions: "The Commandos". Take control of the Green Beret, the spy, the sniper and the sapper. Infiltrate, dodge enemy soldiers or shoot them from a distance, deactivate mines and destroy targets to successfully execute missions in Germany, France, Norway and North Africa.

The gameplay consists of a single game type, single- or multi-player, in which the player fights through waves of zombie-like monsters (or more precisely, specimens from a failed military experiment), with each wave becoming successively more difficult, moving through each area of the level, until it concludes with a battle with a super-specimen, called the Patriarch. Alex Quick, the level designer and texture artist, has stated that "there are a whole bunch of ideas on the drawing board that we can add in after launch, including the 'Story' mode from the mod, for instance."

Levels are completely non-linear and open-ended. There are no restrictions on where players can travel—that is, players can choose where to run and fight. Up to six players can team up in an online cooperative battle with the specimens. The game sessions are fully-configurable, so players can change the difficulty, number of enemy waves, or specify which creatures compose the waves. As the player progress through waves, the tougher-grade specimens are more commonly encountered. A Software Development Kit (SDK) and level editor is included to aid in the creation of modifications and levels.

There is an array of weapons, including melee weapons, shotguns, rifles, sidearms and other weapons. Players must earn cash from killing specimens to buy these from the Trader who sells weapons, supplies, and ammo players will need to progress through each wave, who is only accessible after completing a wave. When the next wave begins, she relocates, and near the completion of a wave, a red arrow appears on screen, directing the players to the Trader's new location. Players can also drop cash for other players to collect and spend.

Airborne Troops is an absorbing infiltration action-adventure game that takes place in occupied France during the Second World War. On a mission to drop two secret agents into occupied territory the Sergeant's aircraft is shot down leaving one of his agents seriously wounded. It is now the Sergeant's duty to replace the ailing agent and complete the stealth missions himself. The gamer takes part in commando missions based on real events in the places where they actually happened, accurately recreated from archives and historical documents. Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive is a stealth-based real-time tactics computer game, developed by Spellbound and released in 2001. In the game, the player controls up to six characters in a wild west setting. The protagonist is a wordly knife-fighter and gunslinger, John Cooper. He takes on a bounty to capture a mysterious and vicious train-robber called "El Diablo" ("The Devil" in Spanish). As Cooper sets off on his quest, he is aided by five other friends and they work together in a real-time, stealth based structure very similar to that introduced in Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines, although an all-out gunfight is still highly possible in the game. A sequel called Desperados 2: Cooper's Revenge was released in late March 2006. A second sequel, Helldorado, (announced as expansion pack Desperados 2: Conspiracy but made into a full game) was released in mid 2007 in Germany. The English version was released in some regions in November 2007.

Bionic Commando is the seventh generation console installment in Capcom's adventure-platformer series, and the sixth game overall (following the original arcade, NES, and Game Boy versions, Elite Forces, and Rearmed). The game was developed and published by Capcom in collaboration with Swedish developer GRIN (best known for Ballistics and the Microsoft Windows version of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter series) and being Produced by Ben Judd. The game is a direct sequel to the second game and its remake Bionic Commando Rearmed, released in 1988 for the NES and in 2008 as a download for current gen systems. The development team has gone on record saying they have looked through all the old games including Mercs for connections.[verification needed] The game is run on the homebrewed Grin "Diesel" Engine.

According to a Capcom spokesperson a Wii version is also a possibility if the fans want it.[4] The game was released in North America on May 19 and was released in all PAL territories on May 22, 2009, and the PC release shortly thereafter. A multiplayer demo has been released on the Xbox 360.
