#11: Music : Dream Theater - Falling into Infinity (Plus Authentic Guitar TAB inside) |

Great album and even better TAB book. This was edited by John Petrucci, so what's in this book is what he plays and how he plays it. This album has less of the 64-th note solos for 20 pages, so there is a lot more us learning guitarists can play with. A definite plus. This was the turning-the-clock-around album for Dream Theater. Mike Portnoy said that this album nearly killed Dream Theater because the record company wanted them to make a commercial album. A must have for any DT fan that has some talent and ambition. This album is a bit more 'practical' for younger musicians wanting to learn a bit more on Petrucci's style and licks. The guitar parts are somewhat toned down and less 'showy' than those on previous DT albums, but the songs presented here are WELL worth the book. |

#12: Music : DREAM THEATER - Master Of Puppets |

Wanna hear Dream Theatre playing METALLICA - Master of Puppets full album? Master of Puppets is an extremely important metal album, and while it isn't always evident amidst all of Dream Theater's sprawling progressive rock songs, it was definitely a major influence to the band when they were starting out. Dream Theater's version of Master of Puppets is a must-have for die hard Dream Theater fans, and should prove interesting to most Metallica fans as well. It's a live performance, but the sound quality is quite good. It's probably not up to the standard of Dream Theater's traditional live releases, but it's definitely a cut above the typical bootleg recording. Dream Theater, arguably the world's premiere progressive metal band, started a tradition a few years ago of covering classic albums during certain tour stops. The band would play a set of their own material, take a break, and then cover one of their favorite albums in its entirety. |

#14: Music : Jonas Brothers-A Little Bit Longer(MTV Bonus Version)(Exclusive) |

MP3 | 320 kpbs | 105 MB Audio CD (August 12, 2008) Original Release Date: August 12, 2008 Number of Discs: 1 Format: Enhanced (Non) Label: Hollywood Records ASIN: B001AJVR5M For Jonas Brothers, the last year has been all whirlwind, all the time. Yet somehow, on the road to becoming a pop culture phenomenon, the trio never broke a sweat - other than on the stage, giving their all, and living their dream. If anything, Jonas Brothers have embodied the calm within the storm. And since the release of their 2007 self-titled platinum CD, Kevin, Joe and Nick have used their time wisely. As they prove on their new Hollywood Records CD, "A Little Bit Longer," Jonas Brothers have grown exponentially as songwriters, musicians and recording artists. "The lyrical content has gotten more in-depth," says Nick Jonas of the new album. "It's about who we are as people and our personal lives, things we've gone through in the past 12 months." That year was about much more than simply handling a media frenzy with grace and humor. |

OK forget these south american reviewers who have never heard of the most of the guitarists on this album. At the same time, forget the American people who have NEVER heard of these guitarists because they are too busy listening to poppy girl grabbing bands like KORN and Limp Bizkit. This album was released in Japan for a reason and this reason is that the Japanese appreciate a good ass rocking guitar session. Their pop music is indicative of this as most Japanese pop songs have an average of 4 guitar solos per every 7 songs as compared to America where it is one guitar solo per seven pop songs. George Lynch and John Petrucci come out as the most technical guitarists on this albums. Everyone else is stand by on rock and blues scales. Of course that would have been Lynch as well if it were not for his recent (1994) lessons at Guitar Institute of Technology in Los Angeles. For once we also get to hear John Petrucci go improv as most of the Dream Theater series guitars have been mainly real hard studio work and composing. You can tell the difference in each guitarist as each uses his own unique sound on the album. This is a must have both in session creativity and unique guitar theory for the avid guitar listener/fan. No, Greg Howe does not make a special appearance (though in my opinion, Greg and his star pupil, Prashant Aswani, excel above these sessioneers) in this album, but there is plenty to listen to otherwise like Andy Timmons, Brad Gillis, and Al Pitrelli (virtual unknowns in modern guitar). |
