Underworld Rise of the Lycans DVDRip CrYs18 | 299 Mb

The film tells the story of the origins of Lucian (Michael Sheen), who was the first werewolf able to take human form - to be called Lycans. Viktor (Bill Nighy), the ruthless elder of the vampires, took him home after killing his werewolf mother in a raid. Viktor envisions a race of werewolf slaves for his vampire clan that, conceivably, could keep guard during the daytime hours and toil for the vampires. As Lucian grows up at Viktor's home, his young daughter, Sonja (Rhona Mitra), develops an attraction to the young Lycan, and Lucian becomes fond of Sonja as well.

It is revealed that Viktor has a tacit relationship with the human population of the area, whereupon he agreed to protect them from the wild werewolves that roam the countryside in exchange for a tithe. As a collection of human nobles come to meet with the vampire council for protection from the werewolves in exchange for this aforementioned tithe, Sonja goes out to guard them. Lucian hears the Lycans near Sonja and steals a horse and sword from a nearby Death Dealer. Wild werewolves proceed to attack and kill the nobles, causing Lucian to engage in a battle with them. When Lucian takes off his collar and changes into a Lycan in order to protect himself, the wild werewolves back down to his howl and leave before Lucian is shot down by Viktor's men. Viktor, despite grudgingly acknowledging that Lucian saved his daughter, notes that Lucian still transgressed the laws of the coven by taking off the collar that kept him in check (by preventing him from changing into a Lycan) and feels betrayed by what he thinks of as his favorite pet. Subsequently, he locks Lucian away after having him whipped thirty times with a three pronged chain-bladed whip.

You know, I'm all live and let live on most things, and this transgendered guy (he was born a woman) looks as though he will love and take care of his daughter better than many parents, but there's something bugging me about the whole thing. Thomas Beatie is about a month away from giving birth to his baby daughter and here's what he has to say to the world:

Reminiscences of a Stock Operator is the thinly disguised biography of Jesse Livermore, a remarkable character who first started speculating in New England bucket shops at the turn of the century. I Am Legend is a 1954 science fiction novel by Richard Matheson about the last man alive in a future Los Angeles, California. It is notable as influential on the developing modern vampire genre as well as the zombie genre, in popularizing the fictional concept of a worldwide apocalypse due to disease, and in exploring the notion of vampirism as a disease. The novel was a success and was adapted to film as The Last Man on Earth in 1964, as The Omega Man in 1971, and again in 2007 as I Am Legend.

Later releases of the novel include several of Matheson's short stories: Buried Talents, The Near Departed, Prey, Witch War, Dance of the Dead, Dress of White Silk, Mad House, Funeral, From Shadowed Places, and Person to Person.

I Am Legend is the story of Robert Neville - apparently the sole survivor of a virus pandemic apocalypse, the symptoms of which resemble vampirism. The author details Neville's daily life in Los Angeles from January of 1976 to January of 1979, as he attempts to comprehend, research, and possibly cure the disease that killed mankind, and to which he is immune. Neville's past is revealed through flashbacks, while his emotional struggle to cope with losing his family is dealt with by going about a daily routine.

Warpaint is the first studio album from the Black Crowes in seven years — not that you can really tell. The Crowes still bang out that old-school boogie that might be three or four decades old if it wasn't brand-new. All the obvious ingredients that fueled their 1990 debut, Shake Your Money Maker, are still in place, from singer Chris Robinson's Jagger swagger to the band's Faces-style barroom juking. Even Robinson's battles with his brother/guitar player Rich, apparently dormant for now, have always come straight from the Kinks' playbook. If the Crowes are derivative, they wear that tag with pride; it's exactly what their fans love about them.

Warpaint starts off strong —the first third of the album reveals some of the best range and craft of the band's career — but songs like "We Who See the Deep" are just too unfocused to be memorable. "Evergreen" is a sweetly propulsive love song, but can't Robinson do better than "Come make love in the sunshine/Come let's share our pain"?
