Over the weekend, Digital Domain added a plethora of VES Awards including Outstanding Compositing and an OSCAR for Visual Effects to their BAFTA for Special Effects awarded earlier this month for their work on The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Although, Digital Domain came out on top, several other key customers were also nominated. At the VES, Framestores compositing team was nominated for their work on Quantum of Solace their first full project using Nuke and The Orphanage for their work on Iron Man. At the OSCARS, shots from five of the seven shortlisted films vying for Best Visual Effects were composited in Nuke: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Dark Knight, Iron Man, Australia and The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.Bill Collis, CEO at The Foundry, comments, We are thrilled at the success our customers have enjoyed this year.
