Hitman 2: Silent Assassin is the highly anticipated sequel to one of the more refreshing twists on violent action games in years past. Players take on the role of a hitman making his best effort to leave his violent past, and move onto greener pastures. After a brief run-in with a Russian crime lord, Hitman learns that he himself is a target. At this point, it is kill or be killed. In Hitman 2, players are given the chance to play in either first or third person modes. Missions can be saved midway through, and weapon inventory can also be carried over from mission to mission. Game design has been tweaked to allow for various methods of completing mission objectives. Players can either shoot holes in everything they see, or play a more silent and sneaky role to get the job done. Death is his business. And business is good. |

John Little, "Beginning Body Building - Real Muscle/Real Fast" Mc Graw-Hill | ISBN: 0-07-159554-6 | 193 pages | PDF | 8.3 Mb Body building is probably the healthiest activity that any individual can perform. The scientifi c literature documents that resistance exercise not only serves to induce positive physiological changes but also can help to enhance and maintain our functional ability in later life. While this is all to the good, it remains true that the fi rst reason most people have for working out is to improve their appearance, and in this respect, bodybuilding is without peer in the fi tness world. Running, for example, being an activity that is restricted predominantly to the lower body, cannot signifi cantly improve your upper-body strength, nor can it enhance your fl exibility. Stretching or yoga can enhance your fl exibility, within certain genetically determined limits, but neither can improve your cardiovascular effi ciency to any meaningful degree. |

ISBN: 1402062052 | 160 pages | PDF | 972 KB GENETIC DEMOCRACY involves an in-depth analysis of the ethical, social and philosophical issues related to modern genetic research and gene technology. The aim of the book is to introduce systematic research on the social and ethical impacts of the use and development of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) as well as the acquisition, use and storage of human genetic information (HGI). The book contributes into enhancing public discussion and reaching fair and democratic decision-making practices in GMO and HGI use and development both on local and global level. There are currently few European texts which address the issues involved in a theoretical and systematical manner. GENETIC DEMOCRACY have been written from the viewpoint of social and political philosophy rather than that of traditional bioethics. There is a clear need for a throughout and authoritative philosophical and ethical analysis of the issues involved in genetic research and gene technology. The book will appeal to philosophers, social scientists, genetics professionals, policy makers, academics, industrial organisations and human rights organisations as well as university students and legal scholars. The book will have a broad appeal across Europe, Asia and America since many states are currently considering policy responses to many of the practices discussed in the books (e.g., human biobanks). |

#23: Games : Hitman 2: Silent Assasin |

There's no mistaking what Hitman 2: Silent Assassin is all about. One look at the bald, sharply dressed man on the cover, grim as death and armed with a hardballer pistol in each hand, and you can tell that this isn't exactly lighthearted stuff. Hitman 2, released simultaneously for the PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 2 platforms, is the sequel to a PC game released two years ago by Denmark-based developer IO Interactive. The original Hitman: Codename 47 featured some undeniably impressive technical elements, but it also had a number of serious problems. Some players were able to overcome the control issues and punishing difficulty level of the game and appreciated it on the strength of its violent concept--you played as a genetically engineered contract killer and were tasked with stealthily eliminating a number of well-guarded targets. At its best, the game offered both full-on intense action as well as plenty of nail-biting suspense. The sequel takes this same idea a step further and fully realizes it, proving that IO Interactive has the ability to back up flashy graphics and controversial subject matter with great gameplay. Simply put, Hitman 2 fixes virtually all of the problems of its predecessor and stands tall on its own merits as an outstanding action game. Stealth Third Person Action - Developer: IO Interactive - Publisher: Eidos Interactive - Release Date: 01.08.2002 System Requirements:- CPU: Pentium III 1000 - Memory: 256Mb - Video: GeForce 3 or higher - HDD: 1Gb |
