: 4![]() This first-person shooter became an Xbox exclusive after Microsoft bought the developer, Bungie. Halo for the Xbox has gone on to sell more than 3 million copies worldwide--which isn't proof of the game's superior quality, but certainly is evidence of it. Yet, the game was never officially canceled for its originally intended platforms, and at long last, it's available for the PC. For the most part, this new version of Halo is a straight port of the 2-year-old Xbox game. You'd think a high-end PC could handle such a game easily, but this port, which was done by Gearbox Software, is surprisingly taxing even on very fast PCs with tons of RAM and the latest video cards. Halo for the PC also loses the original version's much-vaunted cooperative play mode. But in spite of all that, and in spite of the very high standards for first-person shooters on the PC, Halo is still an incredible action game. It's a true classic--a game that hasn't lost any of its impact and intensity over time. Author: centraldl.info | 3 November 2009 |

: 6![]() DVDRip.XviD-ViSiON | 550 MB In all, Halo Wars is a good and well structured game. The story really does tell more about the UNSC's further origins and I'm glad at least three Spartans are usable. But as much as it's good, it's also quite bad. Simply because of the game play; I hate the way the number of structures and units are limited, and I just think they could've added more units. But I enjoy the upgrades, although I'm still sad only four total turrets are available, as well as only 30 units (40 as Covenant) and only six maximum structures (Fortress/Citadel). Halo 3: ODST is a first-person shooter with gameplay taking place from a first-person perspective. Although the gameplay of ODST bears a strong resemblance to previous Halo titles,[4] the player does not assume the role of the enhanced human supersoldier Master Chief. Instead, the player controls a lone UNSC soldier, known as "the Rookie", in the city of New Mombasa, East African Protectorate (formerly Kenya).[5] Since the soldier, known as an ODST or Orbital Drop Shock Trooper, does not possess Master Chief's advanced armor, reflexes and strength, he is more vulnerable to gunfire; players are forced to act more cautiously. The soldier HUD is different from the previous series, with red outlines for the enemies thanks to a new feature called the "VISR" (Visual Intelligence System, Reconnaissance). The "VISR" also gives you a compass and outlines important items in yellow, but has no radar. However, the aiming reticle remains. It will also include an open world environment. : 9![]() April 21, 2008 - Most PC gamers have likely recovered from the shock of Rainbow Six: Vegas' drastic departure from the more hardcore tactical planning of the series' past. In case you missed out, the R6 titles bearing the Vegas moniker are more about action, far more forgiving of mistakes, and mix in only very light tactical elements. Though it's certainly quite a bit different from what the PC-faithful may remember playing years ago, it still proved to be an entertaining formula when Vegas was released in late 2006. With Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, Ubisoft delivers what's nearly a carbon copy of what we saw in its predecessor. Though little attention has been paid to alleviating issues with the single-player content, the online modes can be a lot of fun. #17: Games : Unreal Tournament III (PC)
Author: gamerfox | 1 August 2009 |
: 3![]() Australia, November 27, 2007 - A few months ago, a little sci-fi shooter by the name of Halo 3 landed on the Xbox 360. You might have heard of it. Hailed as the greatest online experience to ever hit the Internet in the history of forever, I eagerly locked away a weekend to take Master Chief online. Yet after spending a day of driving Warthogs and capturing flags on Xbox Live, it still hadn't lit the fire of fragging passion that I was expecting.I brought this up with some Halo 3 devotees, and their reasoning behind my disappointment was simple. "You just don't like sci-fi shooters with a fast pace and a need for twitch skills. You'd rather play more realistic shooters, where your tired, 31-year-old's nerves can handle the dawdling pace." Their sentiments seemed to ring true, as I realised that I've stuck exclusively to realistic shooters over the last couple of years. In other words, it's the same Unreal Tournament that we've loved since the first UT was released last century. The original UT tore our PCs to shreds back in 1999 and since then we've had two other UT games, which actually makes this the fourth UT title. They've all stuck to the same formula, based around hyper-speed deathmatch action, but throwing in more goodies each time. This year sees the winning formula return, with a single major game mode addition, alongside a massive visual revamp designed to show us what the video cards of 2007 are capable of. While we usually encourage innovation in gameplay, by sticking to the older style of UT gameplay, UT3 actually feels new. Where all of its competitors have slowed down to focus on more realistic, tactical gameplay, UT3 has proudly snubbed this trend, and as a result feels unique.UT has never been known for its strong singleplayer game, and sadly UT3 doesn't shake this trend. If you're looking for a deep and involving storyline, go play Half Life 2. However, if you'd like to train against competent bots to come to grips with the surprising depth and breadth of UT3's various modes and mechanics, the singleplayer game is a good place to start. #18: Mobile » Ringtone : Ringtones game

: 30![]() Good single player and superb multiplayer welcome us back to the castle that started it all. Wolfenstein is well worth it for the multiplayer game alone, so the fact that you get a solid single-player game in the box can only be considered a bonus. RTCWs plot is a mishmash of cheesy cut-scenes and half-baked mission objectives involving the Nazis? attempts to create zombie supersoldiers during World War II. Because of the weak story and the fairly predictable enemy A.I., the game doesn?t forge the enthralling feel of games like Halo or Half-Life. people please give 5 star rating to the game Author: Faraz_a.m | 8 March 2009 |
: 22![]() Halo Zero 1.8.3 Final | Action-Shooting Game | 20.5Mb Only Halo Zero is a fan made 2D tribute to the hugely popular Xbox series. Take control once again of Master Chief and battle against the Covenant invaders. If the generic sci-fi story of the original Halo games was obscured by their ambition and scale compared to older shooters, it certainly isn't in a 2D 16-bit era landscape. You control the suited space marine, and shoot your way through a variety of forgettable alien onslaughts. The graphics, as mentioned, are very 1990s, and although they have clearly been created with some care they seem uninspired. Control is via the keyboard and mouse, aiming and firing with the mouse, and movement and other things with the keyboard. It's quite a good system, and you can configure the keys as you like, which is useful. Author: selivan | 2 October 2008 |

: 0![]() Windows Vista from Microsoft takes a lot of resources, we all know that. So here is the tool for easy removal of the unwanted components in order to make Vista run faster and to your liking. vLite can also create the bootable ISO and apply the tweaks directly. This tool doesn't use any kind of hacking, all files and registry entries are protected as they would be if you install the full version only without the components you select for the removal. It configures the installation directly, before the installation, meaning you'll have to remake the ISO and reinstall it. This method is much cleaner, not to mention easier and more logical than doing it after installation on every reinstall. v1.0 Final * new: 'Windows Portable Devices' * new: IIS and Halo 2 Compatibility options * upd: 'Natural Language' (64bit leftovers) * fix: Hotfixes cleanup when integrated before * fix: 'Defrag' (Shrink ability saved) * fix: 'Game Explorer' (gameux.dll popups) * fix: 'Internet Explorer' (DX Web installer) * fix: Memory Requirement option (Manual Install dependency) |
