Warrock is a modern networked first-person shooter. His vision and graphics, the game is very similar to Battlefield 2. In Warrock present a huge selection of weapons and equipment. You can control tanks, armored cars ride, rides his bike, fly helicopters and sail boats. Infernal embraces style over substance, resulting in a dull and repetitive shooting experience.
In traditional Christian theology, souls stuck between heaven and hell are caught in purgatory, which is an apt description of where Infernal belongs. This third-person shooter portrays the conflict between heaven and hell as being waged on Earth via corporate proxies. You'll play as a former heavenly agent who's kicked out of heaven and caught between both sides. However, the gameplay in Infernal hardly aspires to greatness, nor is it a complete disaster. Instead, this supernatural action game just muddles along.

You play as Ryan Lennox, a fallen angel sipping drinks in a bar with a friend when suddenly shock troops from Everlight, the heavenly corporation, try to kill him. With nowhere else to turn, Lennox teams up with hell's corporation for some revenge. In return, he is blessed (or cursed) with infernal powers that allow him to teleport around, levitate objects, fire powerful magical blasts, and see the invisible. That's in addition to his regular arsenal of weapons, ranging from pistols to assault rifles, as well as exotic equipment, such as welder guns and heavy energy beams. With these powers and weapons, Lennox has to storm Everlight's facilities to uncover its plan to mind control humanity while letting people still think they have free will. That touches on an interesting theological and philosophical question, but that's about as far as the game goes in that direction. In Infernal, it's might that makes right, which is all you'll have to worry about.

Michael LeRoi is the zombie slave of Nettie, a powerful Voodoo priestess. Michael is not entirely unhappy with this fate. A lifetime of bad personal decisions has left him with a huge karma debt. Now, with the world in danger, he is going to get his chance to pay it off.

Shadow Man is a first-person shooter with a horror twist--instead of an ordinary weapon, you wield the Shadowgun. Your prey is a quintet of demon serial killers who plan to unleash monsters against the living world, called Liveside, ultimately bringing about the destruction of all life on earth. In the course of denying this goal, you fight monsters and collect ammunition and weapon upgrades, prowling Deadside in search of baddies.

As befits a horror game, Shadow Man is dark in tone and explicit in its visuals and language, definitely not an appropriate game for younger players. The program itself is rather unremarkable; from graphics to monsters, everything is engaging but in no way exceptional. One might have hoped that it would at least offer some scares along the way, but these are few and far between. Like most entries into the horror-game genre, this one relies on gore instead of trying to find ways to really make your skin crawl. Additionally, the subtext of Shadow Man reinforces unpleasant stereotypes of Caribbean-descended Americans, with neither Michael nor Mama Nettie representing any kind of admirable role model. --Alyx Dellamonica

In Special Forces: Nemesis Strike, you fight terrorists. That's it. That's all the plot you need to know, because that's as much of it as makes sense. You play two different characters throughout the adventure: Raptor, a scenery-chewing commando type that falls somewhere between Jesse "The Body" Ventura from Predator and Thunder in Paradise-era Hulk Hogan (in terms of action-hero bravado and credibility), and Stealth Owl, a predictable copycat of just about every other stealth action hero of the last decade. As these two knuckleheads, you penetrate various locales that have been overrun by terrorists (gasp!) and shoot them all in the face--over and over again--occasionally stopping to fight a ludicrously easy boss, rescue a painfully dumb artificially intelligent hostage, or drive a poorly designed vehicle.

Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis is an enjoyable game that should appeal to dinosaur buffs and park simulation fans alike, thanks to its attractive graphics engine, unique features, and surprising gameplay depth
Operation Genesis' 3D graphics engine does an excellent job of rendering the lush terrain of a tropical island. The dinosaur models are very detailed, allowing players who have even a passing knowledge of paleontology to immediately spot the differences between similar-looking dinosaurs such as the brachiosaurus and the camarasaurus (also known as the brontosaurus). The models are also scaled accurately--small velociraptors are dwarfed by the much larger tyrannosaurs, for instance. Weather effects like rain, wind, lightning, and tornadoes add to the overall effect. The engine lets you rotate your view in any direction and also has a wide range of zoom, so you can get in close to examine individual dinosaurs, or get a much wider view to manage your park comfortably. Though Operation Genesis also has special effects like reflective water, we found that the game had a tendency to lock up with the more advanced graphics settings turned on. Fortunately, the game still looks good even at a medium level of detail, though the game's dinosaur animations still aren't particularly smooth.

In the first HOUSE OF THE DEAD, you and your partner were sent to the Curian Mansion to investigate Dr. Curian, a mad scientist who was experimenting with the dead. Once you had cleaned out the house and eliminated the doctor, you figured the world was once again safe. Unfortunately, a man named Goldman decided to continue the doctor's research, only this time the zombies are overrunning an entire town. Once again, it's up to you and your partner to clean out the zombies and restore peace. Quick decisions are a must, but be careful that you don't tag an innocent citizen--keep your eyes open for special power-ups and upgrades. You'll have a variety of modes to choose from, including Arcade, Original, Training, Boss, and Ranking. Play this first-person on-rails shooter with the standard Dreamcast controller, or give yourself the authentic arcade feel and hook up your light gun.

Mega Man and his allies, Zero and Axl, team up and head to the moon in a mission to defeat the enemy and save mankind. Marine Heavy Gunner: Vietnam is a budget-priced first-person shooter that combines the seamless narrative style of Half-Life, the computer-controlled squadmates of Vietcong, the fixed-position gunplay of Beachhead, and Max Payne's over-the-top tough-guy dialogue. It's also filled with overheated, deranged metaphors, such as "Half of these jokers were doing the backstroke six feet under and had no idea, trying out for the swim team of the soon to be dead." That all might sound great, but unfortunately, Marine Heavy Gunner's actual execution leaves a lot to be desired. For what it's worth, though, the game does feature a really impressive amount of heavy-duty swearing.

Gameplay is split into three basic types. There are extended on-rail sections in which you man a gun mounted on various vehicles such as a helicopter, an armored personnel carrier, and a boat. These sections have neither the breakneck urgency nor the cool scripted set pieces seen in the best examples of on-rail levels from games such as Call of Duty or the Medal of Honor series. Like pretty much everything in Marine Heavy Gunner, they're functional at best.

Patriots starts out with a lengthy narration sequence explaining how terrorists basically popped up out of nowhere and started blowing stuff up. Not that you'd necessarily expect taut, captivating fiction from a budget title, but that block of narration is about as much story as you'll ever get out of the game. Evidently you play as a blank-slate National Guardsman who's been called in to the local armory to suit up, only to find it overrun with terrorists. From there, you take on a series of almost totally unrelated missions until the terrorists have been bested or you've given up and uninstalled the game. For sanity's sake, the latter is probably the smarter option.

It also features multiplayer over Xbox live, system link and Internet (PC). Up to eight players can enjoy deathmatch, team deathmatch, capture the flag and invasion modes with a twist - hungry zombies are coming after everyone!
