Land of the Dead: Road to Fiddler's Green utilizes traditional first-person shooter gameplay. Players can use a variety of either melee weapons or firearms to fight through the zombie hordes. Some weapons are capable of dismembering the zombies, while other weapons are not. The zombies' jaws, heads, arms, forearms, and legs can be shot or chopped off by the player. If you are like most any computer user these days you have lots of optical disks – DVD movies, MP3 collections and game installation disks. They represent a small personal fortune and contain everything you need to keep your life going. Finding a disk in such a big collection is no easy task unless you have a good memory or a CD organizer like Camel Disc Catalog.

Camel Disc Catalog is a nice little CD organizer that generates a computer database to keep track and find any disk in a snap. Just insert the disk into your CD-ROM drive and scan it. The program will automatically index the structure of files and folders, record file names and create a disk snapshot. Once the disk is scanned, you add it to the database and assign to a particular category – ‘Video’, ‘Music’, ‘Photo’ or ‘Software’. You can then add additional comments to the snapshot, such as its location in the house or the name and contacts of your pal who you lend out your disk. When you need to find the disk, run Camel Disc Catalog, browse to the snapshot and see where you put it or who borrowed the disk. Not bad, huh?

The Zone isn't a friendly place, and if you played last year's shooter/horror/role-playing hybrid S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, this comes as no shock. Clear Sky offers a few improvements and a number of issues, but the real star of the series--the large, barren wasteland created by a fictional explosion of the infamous nuclear facility in Chernobyl, Ukraine--is still the most impressive aspect of this prequel. This isn't a full-fledged follow-up, but rather a stand-alone expansion set before the events of the original. You're introduced to a new main character and several new mechanics, the most important of which is factional gameplay, which allows you to ally with an AI-controlled group and assault its enemies. Unfortunately, new features come with a price: new bugs, erratic difficulty, and other annoyances further disrupt the immersion. While Clear Sky is a good game, it's disappointing that developer GSC Game World failed to address the problems with Shadow of Chernobyl that were left to the modding community to clean up.
