Ted’s neighbor Maggie, that he’s wanted to date for years, has finally broken up with her boyfriend, putting her back on the market. A letter to himself has Marshall trying to live up to it.

The program supports a large number of frequency generators as desktop motherboards and notebooks, for which however, the program is sometimes the only means of relatively painless increase productivity.

In the year 2030, Ted Mosby (voiced by Bob Saget) gathers his daughter and son to tell them the story of how he met their mother.
Robin has only seven days to get a job or she will be deported back to Canada. After failing at several interviews, Barney produces a video resume for her that eventually gets Robin a talk show job. The others discuss frivolous items on their resumes.

Even though they do their best in order to be the perfect couple, Barney’s attitude of know-it-all lands him in trouble with Robin and they are forced to seek Marshall and Lily for advice.

When Ted and Robin decide to help feed the homeless on Thanksgiving Day, they are in a state of disbelief when they run into Barney and discover that he is a regular volunteer at the homeless shelter. Thanksgiving doesn't end there for the trio, for they end up somewhere that only the "real" Barney would bring anyone to for a holiday meal. Meanwhile, things do not go very smoothly when Marshall and Lily pay a holiday visit to Marshall's family in Minnesota.

As Lily becomes more of a permanent fixture in Ted and Marshall's apartment, Ted feels like he is being edged out of the mix by his engaged roomies. Petrified of being left alone and homeless, Ted tells Marshall that when he and Lily are married, he wants the apartment. The problem is that Marshall wants to keep the place too, so they settle it like real "grown-ups"--launching into a sword fight that leaves one man down for the count.

When Ted turns to a matchmaker to find love, he is sent away matchless. When a matchmaker with a 100 percent success rate turns Ted away because he is not compatible with any of the available women in her database, he is still determined that he is going to find his match. After getting information from the matchmaker’s computer on the sly, Ted pays a visit to a very cute, but very taken, dermatologist in an effort to debunk the prediction that there are no women out there for him. Meanwhile, Marshall and Lily are obsessed with ridding their apartment of an unsightly critter.

Ted makes his yearly pilgrimage to the rooftop Halloween party in search of a girl dressed as a pumpkin who he met years ago. Meanwhile, Robin is dumped after driving her new boyfriend away with her independent ways.

In a desperate attempt for a second date, Ted invites Robin to a party he is throwing. However, she doesn't show up and he keeps throwing parties in the hopes she will finally arrive.

The episode (and series) begins with an older Ted explaining to his children the story of how he met their mother. The story begins in 2005, with Marshall proposing to Lily, prompting Ted to begin a search to find his own soulmate. At MacLaren's, alongside Barney, Ted meets budding news anchor Robin, with whom he is instantly smitten

Ted finds a shirt he has not worn in forever, and finds that he likes it, even though before that day he had never considered wearing it. He meets everyone else down at the bar, and finds that he also suddenly likes Bourbon, which he had hated before. He decides that maybe he should start considering girls he has previously dated; Barney objects to this idea, saying that the only reason to date a girl who one has previously dated is if she received breast implants. Ted ignores Barney's advice and decides to re-date Natalie.

After telling Robin that he loved her, Ted changes his stance and decides to not contact Robin on the pretext of wanting to give everyone the false impression that he is not in love with Robin anymore. However, after he finds out from Marshall that Lily has officially met Robin, having recognized her from the news, and that Robin told Lily that she was still interested in him, Ted decides that he is still in love with her. Since Robin did not want a serious relationship, Ted decides to try and convince her that he is "casual".

Barney tries his best hoping to convince Robin into becoming an American citizen, while Ted and Marshall’s road trip takes an unexpected turn for the worst when Marshall invites Lily to come along.

The Sexless Innkeeper
Marshall and Lily want to hook up with Barney and Robin for double-dating and fun, but their desperate eagerness to please is a huge turn-off. Meanwhile, when a succession of girls come to his apartment and immediately fall asleep, Ted is bummed to learn he is a “Sexless Innkeeper” whose “dates” are only interested in a comfy place to crash

When Robin fears that Barney is cheating on her, she soon discovers that he is spending his evenings with Ted learning everything there is to know on how to date her.

Barney takes Marshall, and Robin to a strip club where they find a stripper who looks almost exactly like Lily. Meanwhile, Ted discovers he had been fixed up with the same woman, Jen seven years earlier.

EP 5.1 Definitions
When the gang finds out that Barney and Robin are hesitant to define their relationship, Lily forces them to confront their biggest fear…becoming boyfriend/girlfriend. Meanwhile, Ted is anxious about teaching his first lecture at Columbia.
