Men of War Red Tide-RELOADEDPC Game | 2.04 GB Men of War: Red Tide is a sequel to the critically acclaimed RTS Men of War. Red Tide introduces a new story driven campaign based on the writings of Soviet scribe Alexander Zorich, it also includes dozens of new or upgraded units and weapons. Men of War: Red Tide is a stunning mixture of RTS and a third-person action that introduces a new fighting force known for its brutal efficiency during the height of World War II. Played out across more than 20 missions, Men of War: Red Tide allows to take command of the feared “Black Coats,” the nickname given to Soviet Marines, an elite combat group specializing in engagements near the shoreline. The player has direct control of new game units including the Black Coats, tanks, self-propelled guns, armored trains, landing craft, artillery and new enemy emplaced weapons to capture and use. New air support options include fighters, bombers, hydroplanes; cruisers, destroyers and gun boats which provide naval fire support. Fighting during the Black Sea Campaigns of WWII, history buffs and WWII aficionados will recognize theaters of battle such as Odessa, Sevastopol, Theodosia, Eltingen, Nikolaev and Constanta. |

GAEA WinFence 2.21 | 45 MBWinFence can be used to graphically create detailed, full-color, cross-sections and fence diagrams quickly and easily. The program can be used to interpret and map soil and rock layers, contamination, fossils, minerals and hydrocarbons. In version 2 there is the option to have the program automatically generate the cross-section. This is done using artificial intelligence (AI) built-into the program. When determining how to connect the strata between boreholes, wells, and intersecting cross-sections the program looks at the similarities in the lithologies, thicknesses, and occurrence of the strata. This methodology works well with most geologies; except, where the geology is very complicated or there are faults. |

Planet Earth Episode 9: "Shallow Seas"MKV | 832 x 544 |AC3 | 732MB This programme is devoted to the shallow seas that fringe the world's continents. Although they constitute 8% of the oceans, they contain most marine life. As humpback whales return to breeding grounds in the tropics, a mother and its calf are followed. While the latter takes in up to 500 litres of milk a day, its parent will starve until it travels back to the poles to feed — and it must do this while it still has sufficient energy left for the journey. The coral reefs of Indonesia are home to the biggest variety of ocean dwellers. Examples include banded sea kraits, which ally themselves with goatfish and trevally in order to hunt. In Western Australia, dolphins ' hydroplane' in the shallowest waters to catch a meal, while in Bahrain, 100,000 Socotra cormorants rely on shamals that blow sand grains into the nearby Persian Gulf, transforming it into a rich fishing ground. The appearance of algae in the spring starts a food chain that leads to an abundant harvest, and sea lions and dusky dolphins are among those taking advantage of it. In Southern Africa, as chokka squid are preyed on by short-tail stingray, the Cape fur seals that share the waters are hunted by the world's largest predatory fish: the great white shark. On Marion Island in the Indian Ocean, a group of king penguins must cross a beach occupied by fur seals that do not hesitate to attack them. Planet Earth Diaries shows the difficulties of filming the one-second strike of a great white shark, filmed by Simon King. |

In a time when a new kind of plague is ravaging the city of Boston, a new hope is on the horizon. For those who can afford it, a new vitamin water is available from a new super company called HydroPure. This new saving grace is a breath of fresh air for the embattled city who take to the new product like water. Things are finally beginning to look up until the mayor is shot and killed. The assassin took something beyond the mayor’s life, he took a sample of the mayor’s blood, which was different from normal human blood, it was black and thick, like tar. The assassin escapes, temporarily, but before he is caught, he drops off a vial of the sample blood to a news reporter named Ben, convincing him of a conspiracy he has found in HydroPure. Now, as the walls seem to be closing in around Ben (Gil Bellows), he begins to investigate the conspiracy on his own. Teamed up with an ex-girlfriend/reporter colleague, Ben begins to put the puzzle pieces together, all the while eluding the corrupt police force who will stop at nothing to kill end Ben and his investigation. As the curtain begins to unravel further Ben begins to discover that HydroPure is actually a front for an alien conspiracy who is looking to take the Earth captive, using its residents as incubators for alien spawn. Soon, Ben finds help from an unlikely source, a reclusive freedom fighter/alien who begins to relay the alien’s plan to Ben. Now, it would appear as if Ben is the only hope for possibly saving all of man kind. |

#19: E-Books : Physics and Chemistry of Micro-Nanotribology, by Jianbin Luo |

Physics and Chemistry of Micro-Nanotribology, by Jianbin Luo ASTM International | January 2008 | English | ISBN: 0803170068 | PDF | 290 Pages | 7,28 Mb Description : The roots of micro/nanotribology can be found deep in conventional concepts of tribology. The recognition in the last century of elasto- hydrodynamic lubrication EHL as the principal mode of fluid-film lubrication in many machine components enabled reliable design procedures to be developed for both highly stressed and low elastic modulus machine elements. Towards the end of the last century submicron film thicknesses were recognized in many EHL applications. It is now being asked how EHL concepts can contribute to understanding the behavior of even thinner lubricating films. The answer is to be found in the subject widely known as micro/nanotribology. As early as 1929 Tomlinson considered the origin of friction and the mechanism of energy dissipation in terms of an independent oscillator model. This import ant approach provided the foundation for many present studies of atomic scale friction. The rapid development of micro/nanotribology in recent decades is certainly a significant and fascinating aspect of modern tribology. New scientific instruments, impressive modeling, and computer simulations have contributed to the current fascination with nanotechnology. A remarkable indication of these developments is evident in the boom of publications. Nevertheless, the knowledge and understanding of micro/nanotribology remains incomplete, although several books related to the subject have now been published. The interdisciplinary nature of tribology persists in studies of microscopic scale tribology. Individual investigators contribute to specific aspects of the field as they help to develop a general picture of the new field of micro/nanotribology, thus adding additional bricks to the house of truth. The present book is written by authors whose backgrounds are mainly in mechan ical engineering. They present individual contributions to the development of microscopic tribology, with significant effort being made to form a bridge between fundamental studies and applications. |

Neil Schlager, Jayne Weisblatt, "Alternative Energy, 3 Volumes" Thomson Gale | 2006 | V1 ISBN-10: 0787694401 | V2 ISBN-10: 078769441X | V3 ISBN-10: 0787694428 | 510 pages | PDF | 5,3 MB This three-volume set introduces researchers to issues surrounding both current energy sources and alternative energy options. While there is significant discussion of the non-renewable resources now used to meet the majority of the world's energy needs (oil, coal and natural gas), the primary focus of the set is on newer options to meet the ever-growing demand. These options include wind and solar energy, fuel cells, hydropower, geothermal power and biomass energy. In addition, more theoretical sources are also explored, including cold fusion, zero point energy and universal forces. Entries discuss the science behind the energy source, notable scientists and scientific discoveries, current examples of use, and the issues, challenges and obstacles to large-scale use. Arranged alphabetically by entry name. |

Fundamental Formulas of Physics, Vol. 1, 2 407 pages | Mar 4, 1960 | PDF | 21.4 MB + 25.42 MB | RSWell written descriptions; and well thought-out examples are given when needed. I have both volumes and they have been a great resource to me while developing Modelling Software. Multiple Author’s contributions have resulted in a little overlapping, but there was one benefit to this - seeing adapted forms of the same formula. I also like the book: “The Cambridge Handbook of Physics Formulas (230 pages)” which is 40 years newer. But have found myself referring this two-volume-set the most recently (totaling 741 pages) because: more fields & cross-fields are covered, great examples, smaller hand-held size, jammed packed prerequisite math formulas & data (153 pages) in first four chapters including: Pre/Post Calculus, Fourier Series, Green Function, Vectors, Tensors, etc. (good brush up - been out of college few years) Also locating a particular formula is quick because of the Large Detailed Split-page Contents at beginning of both volumes (20 pages each) and also helpful - chapter names are printed on both covers. |
