Encyclopedia of Social Psychology 2 Volumes - 9.15MB Encyclopedia of Social Psychology (2 Volume Set) Roy F. Baumeister 1248 pages Publisher: Sage Publications, Inc; 1 edition (August 29, 2007) Language: English ISBN-10: 1412916704 Social psychology, defined in this encyclopedia’s introduction as “the study of how ‘normal’ people think, feel, and act,” is part of all academic psychology departments. As is the case with most subdisciplines, the field has its own vocabulary, usage of terms, and history. Although there are numerous encyclopedias of psychology as a whole, there has been little published specifically in the area of social psychology. In the introduction, editors Baumeister (Florida State University) and Vohs (University of Minnesota) make a special point of describing how they sought only experts in the field to write the articles, and how those articles are designed to meet the needs of readers who are new to the field, without being simplistic. This is, in all its aspects, an excellent example of a subject encyclopedia. More than 550 entries cover diverse topics and follow a clear and easy-to-understand format. Each begins with a definition and ends with see also references and a list of further readings. At the front of each volume are an alphabetical list of entries as well as a “Reader’s Guide,” which sorts entries into thematic groupings. At the end of each volume is a comprehensive index. There are no biographical entries. |

Foundations in Evolutionary Cognitive Neuroscience, by Steven M. Platek Cambridge University Press; 1 edition | March 23, 2009 | English | ISBN: 0521711185 | PDF | 234 Pages | 1,29 Mb Description : This book is an introduction to the emerging field of evolutionary cognitive neuroscience, a branch of neuroscience that combines the disciplines of evolutionary psychology and cognitive neuroscience. It outlines the application of cognitive neuroscientific methods (e.g., functional magnetic resonance imaging, transcranial magnetic stimulation, magneto- and electroencephalography, and the use of neuropsychiatric and neurosurgical patients) to answer empirical questions posed from an evolutionary meta-theoretical perspective. Chapters outline the basics of cognitive evolution and how the methods of cognitive neuroscience can be employed to answer questions about the presence of evolved cognitive adaptations. Written for graduate students and researchers, the book presents the major topics of study undertaken by evolutionary cognitive neuroscientists - such as language evolution, intelligence and face processing - and serves as a primer upon which to base further study in the discipline. |

If you are looking for a general introduction to Elliott Wave theory and practice, then this book is definetly not for you. In that case, I rather suggest starting with Prechter's "Elliott Wave Principle" from 1979. If you are prepared to spend a lot of time working through the large number of conditions contained within this book, however, (especially using your own data) you will find this a most rewarding endeavor. Wave theory is not for the faint-hearted, it requires a lot of patience and application to give you the building blocks to come up with a view of the market. This Rar, you will find: Mastering Elliott Waves by Glenn Neely, Elliot Waves by Rich Swannell and Elliot Waves - A Comprehensive Course On The Waves. Also, I added 3 videos These books are actually for those who want to "master" the Elliott wave theory. Since Fibonacci numbers and golden ratio are the most important parts of the wave theory, These books are the best about how to apply Elliot Wavei techniques on a price chart. Not only the price distance, but the time elapsed to form the waves are dependant with the Fibonacci numbers theory and these books will teache you how to use them. |

#6: E-Books : Study Guide for Sell and Sell Short by Alexander Elder |

The latest book from Dr. Alexander Elder, begins with buying, risk management, and record-keeping, but focuses on two essential skills - selling and selling short. There are rules for several different methods of selling and shorting. The book includes over 100 charts which illustrate dozens of trades, many of them from the author's own diary. The book is printed in full color. Selling is the hard part of trading. If the stock we buy rises, when do we take profits? If our stock falls, when do we bite the bullet and exit the trade? If our stock stagnates, when do we say enough is enough and move on to another opportunity? Every serious trader must make these decisions. Stocks go down as well as up, but most market participants only go long - effectively throwing out half of their profit opportunities. Sell and Sell Short shows that stocks tend to fall twice as fast as they rise. This provides great opportunities for faster profits in selling short, but calls for different strategies than trading from the long side. The Study Guide contains 115 questions and answers, including 17 chart studies. Each question challenges you to focus on some essential aspect of successful trading. Answers to the questions provide detailed explanations of why some replies are right and others are wrong. The three parts of this Study Guide cover all the major areas of trading: How to Buy, Manage Money, and Keep Records; How to Sell; How to Sell Short |
