If you were a fan of heavy metal in the 80's then this album was the soundtrack to your Saturday night out with the guys. There is just so much on this album to rave about, rocks from start to finish. Perhaps this album is the greatest achievement in the history of music, undoubtedly the greatest songs to grace mankind. Excellent songs where each member shines in his unique contribution. Fast powerful bass by Harris, awesome drums by McBrain, divine super melodies and riff guitars by Smith and Murray, with the strong great vocals of Bruce Dickinson. This is one of Maiden's all-time best albums and just a crowning achievement. A must for any true metal fan! Powerslave is the fifth studio album by the British heavy metal band Iron Maiden, released on September 3, 1984 on EMI in Europe and its sister label Capitol Records in the US (it was re-released by Sanctuary/Columbia Records in the US in 2002). It is notable for its Egyptian theme displayed in the album art, as well in the title track's musical style. It contains a musical re-telling of Samuel Taylor Coleridge's "Rime of the Ancient Mariner", which uses pieces of the original poem as lyrics, and is the longest song Iron Maiden have ever recorded at a length of 13 minutes and 38 seconds. The album is also notable amongst the band's albums as being the first album to feature the same lineup as the previous one. As of 2008, this is the last of the band's albums to contain an instrumental track: "Losfer Words (Big 'Orra)." |

#17: Music : IRON MAIDEN - No Prayer for the Dying (TAB GUITARS+MP3) |

No Prayer for the Dying is the eighth studio album by Iron Maiden. It is the first album recorded following the departure of guitarist Adrian Smith who left the band during the pre-production phase of the album. Smith does have one co-writing credit on this album, for "Hooks in You", the third installment of the ongoing story of Charlotte the Harlot. The album ushered in a change of vocal style for Bruce Dickinson from the operatic sound of the '80s to a raspier way of singing. Adrian Smith was replaced by Janick Gers who had assisted Dickinson in the recording of his first solo-album, Tattooed Millionaire, and had also worked with Fish and Ian Gillan, among others. No Prayer for the Dying is the only Iron Maiden studio album to date without a song exceeding six minutes in length. SPECIAL TAB GUITARS EXCLUSIVELY ADDED BY ME!! No Prayer for the Dying was the first album not to feature a wrap-around cover since 1984's Powerslave. It also does not follow the continuity of previous album covers, as Eddie no longer exhibits his lobotomy or cyborg enhancements. Considering Eddie was driven to madness and all-but destroyed in the album cover of Seventh Son of a Seventh Son (as well as its singles), it can be assumed that the character required a reboot in order to return him to his original look. The events depicted on this album could also be viewed as a prequel; considering the age of the lamp that the grave-digger holds in his right hand, it could be assumed that the events took place in either the late 19th Century or early 20th Century. |

Can you imagine what it would sound like if Whitesnake or Cinderella had covered Iron Maiden? Well, listen to this album and all the non-Di'Anno tracks will give you a clearer idea. Those track are mainstream-sounding and would have been perfect in the heyday of "Hair Metal". This isn't a negative criticism, as most are actually quite nice to listen to, but this simply isn't Maiden. The power and rawness are absent and these covers sound a bit bland. Musicians:Lea Hart – Lead Guitar, Paul Quinn – Guitar, Bernie Torme – Guitar, Andy Barnet – Guitar, Rob Page – Guitar, Steve Parry – Guitar, Dave Colwell – Guitar, Steve Bennett – Drums, Dean Moraity – Bass, Jem Davis – Keyboards. Songs:1. Can I Play With Madness [Steve Overland] 2. 2 Minutes To Midnight [Steve Grimmett] 3. Wrathchild [Paul Di'Anno] 4. Hallowed Be Thy Name [Doogie White] 5. Running Free [Paul Di'Anno] 6. The Evil That Men Do [Doogie White] 7. Phantom Of The Opera [Paul Di'Anno] 8. The Number Of The Beast [Steve Grimmett] 9. Iron Maiden [Paul Di'Anno] 10. Run To The Hills [Steve Overland] |

#20: Music : IRON MAIDEN - Killer (MP3+TAB GUITAR) |

This is the first Maiden album after Di'anno left them, holds great nostalgic value... This album was when Maiden was a lot tougher and more criminal, a flawless classic Iron Maiden album with the whole band in top form and giving one of the best performances of their lives. Di'Anno's vocals especially stand out here. "Killers" is a metal classic, it's certainly a worthy addition to your collection. THE BAND: Steve Harris (bass), Paul Di'Anno (vocals), Dave Murray (guitar), Adrian Smith (guitar), Clive Burr (drums), 11 tracks clocking in at approximately 42 minutes. All songs written by bassist Steve Harris and sharing credits with Murray and Di'Anno on one song each. The best of the two albums with DiAnno. With Adrian Smith joining the band one hears the great fusion of musical talent with Dave Murray making the band one of the best in having essentially two lead guitars. Just a great collaboration between the two guitarists. Better musically and lyricall than their starter album, this album has some great songs such as 'Wrath Child' and 'Killers.' 'Prodigal Son' has to be one of the greatest rock ballads of British New Wave metal: great lyrics and just an excellent instrumental arrangement. |

#21: Music : IRON MAIDEN - Piece of Mind (MP3+TAB GUITAR) |
 |

Piece of Mind is the fourth studio album by British heavy metal band Iron Maiden. It was originally released in 1983 (see 1983 in music) on EMI, and on Capitol in the US; it was reissued later on Sanctuary/Columbia Records. It was the first album to feature drummer Nicko McBrain, who had recently left the Paris-based band Trust. "The Trooper" remains as one of the most popular songs in the band's history, and has been included in the set list of all of the band's concert tours since the album's release. During the Blaze Bayley era, it was used as the closing song for the lineup's tours. Lyrically, the album reflected the group's interest in books and film. For example, "To Tame a Land" is based on Frank Herbert's novel Dune. "The Trooper" is inspired by Tennyson's Charge of the Light Brigade. "Still Life" is inspired by fantasy/horror writer Clark Ashton Smith's pre-World War II short story Genius Loci. Other inspirations include "Where Eagles Dare", a film, and a novel by Alistair MacLean; "Quest for Fire", based on the film by Jean-Jacques Annaud; the writer G. K. Chesterton who is quoted at the beginning of "Revelations". More exotic influences include Greek mythology, albeit slightly altered for "Flight of Icarus", and samurai legend Miyamoto Musashi ("Sun and Steel"). Aleister Crowley influenced a good piece of the remaining lyrics of "Revelations," which was written by Dickinson. |

Iron Maiden are Steve Harris' brainchild, from 1976 and on they are the absolute heavy metal machine that destroys everything on its path. They made heavy metal massive, and they are familiar even to those that don’t know their music. With this record Iron Maide broke into the world receiving recognition and appreciation. They managed to attract huge crowds, with people flooding stadiums (the top of the iceberg was Monsters Of Rock in Donnington with over 100,000 people attendance in 1988), their record sales reached unbelievable numbers (they’ve sold more than 70 million records worldwide), big tours, great material and we haven’t talked about influence…let’s not. They have a distinguish position in our music’s pantheon. “Number Of The Beast” overflows with power, passion, outstanding arrangements that feed the listener’s attention, galloping metallic riffs, and melodies that break to guitar parades. The record arrived exactly when they needed it. After the two records with Paul Di’Anno and his punk pitch, Bruce Dickinson (ex-Samson) with his metalic voice, took over like a bull in a china shop. His majestic voice of great potential was what the band was in need of to rejuvenate and conquer the world. |

It follows the story of a cursed child who is born with special powers and it tempted by the side of both good and evil. Whether you understand the concept story or not, all fans must agree that Seventh Son of a Seventh Son has excellent musicianship by the band, and the chemistry of the "perfect 5" Maiden lineup is completely intact. Of all the songs in the album, "The Evil That Men Do" and "Can I Play with Madness" sporadically appear on the set lists of nearly all of the band's concert tours. Track Listings:1. Moonchild (5:39) 2. Infinite Dreams (6:09) 3. Can I Play With Madness (3:31) 4. The Evil That Men Do (4:34) 5. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son (9:53) 6. The Prophecy (5:05) 7. The Clairvoyant (4:27) 8.
