PLOT:
The film is a cross between Northern Exposure and the old science fiction film The Giant Claw. For all of you not familiar with Fifties Science Fiction, The Giant Claw was about a giant flying creature from outer space who came to earth to nest. That’s what old Wyvern is doing as it lays some eggs.

Barry Corbin and Elaine Miles from Northern Exposure are in the cast so you don’t forget we’re in Alaska. Corbin’s the guy who tells the rest of the townspeople what they’re dealing with. His Norwegian background in the folklore of his people makes him able to identify the monster. There’s even a Rob Morrow like doctor played by David Lewis who is something of a wise city slicker as much out of place as Morrow was. The Wyvern really has a grisly plan for him, this creature is as intelligent as Stephen Spielberg’s raptors in Jurassic Park.

The house of the dead is a rather simple game. I don't own the game but the arcade version is easily found. The story is rather simple going into a house swarming with zombies to rescue a loved one, then attempting revenge against the one responsible. The game uses the traditional light gun, a controller used quite often in first person shooters. To reload you have to aim outside the screen and fire.

Several bonuses are hidden throughout the levels, mostly hidden behind crates or other breakable items. The game is unique because of a choosing your own adventure way of playing. By saving certain people or killing certain zombies you can go completely different paths. The paths don't serve anything to the story however, it just allows different exploration. There are four main bosses, each are named after one of the primary tarot fortune telling cards. The graphics are detailed but simple, exact clones appear through out the entire game.

Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis is an enjoyable game that should appeal to dinosaur buffs and park simulation fans alike, thanks to its attractive graphics engine, unique features, and surprising gameplay depth
Operation Genesis' 3D graphics engine does an excellent job of rendering the lush terrain of a tropical island. The dinosaur models are very detailed, allowing players who have even a passing knowledge of paleontology to immediately spot the differences between similar-looking dinosaurs such as the brachiosaurus and the camarasaurus (also known as the brontosaurus). The models are also scaled accurately--small velociraptors are dwarfed by the much larger tyrannosaurs, for instance. Weather effects like rain, wind, lightning, and tornadoes add to the overall effect. The engine lets you rotate your view in any direction and also has a wide range of zoom, so you can get in close to examine individual dinosaurs, or get a much wider view to manage your park comfortably. Though Operation Genesis also has special effects like reflective water, we found that the game had a tendency to lock up with the more advanced graphics settings turned on. Fortunately, the game still looks good even at a medium level of detail, though the game's dinosaur animations still aren't particularly smooth.
