Lieutenant Jim Dangle (Thomas Lennon) is been invited to a national police convention in Miami Beach, Florida. Dangle brings his seven deputies with him. Deputy Travis Junior (Robert Ben Garant), Deputy Trudy Wiegel (Kerri Kenney-Silver), Deputy Raineesha Williams (Niecy Nash), Deputy S. Bigger than Jesus? ...
Closeted over all these years, the Vatican has finally announced that it likes the Beatles.The announcement was spurred by the 40th anniversary of the White Album, dubbed a "magical musical anthology" by the paper's editors. While the article isn't the White Album's first review in Latin - it's probably the first Beatles review in a publication whose motto is about vanquishing the forces of hell.

It wasn't always thus. In 1966 the Church was incensed when John Lennon called his band "more popular than Jesus". "Christianity will go," Lennon told London's Evening Standard. "It will vanish and shrink ... Jesus was all right but his disciples were thick and ordinary. It's them twisting it that ruins it for me."

When it comes to other acts - the Stones, or Coldplay - the Vatican's editors were not so generous. The Beatles were praiseworthy, because they differed from the "standardised, stereotypical" music that haunts contemporary society. In other words, Pope Benedict XVI has heard the new Guns N' Roses album.

In 1981, the movie Let It Be was released to the home video market through 20th Century Fox and Magnetic Video Corporation. It was first issued on VHS and Betamax, next on laserdisc, and finally, RCA secured the rights to release it for their CED* (Capacitance Electronic Disc System) "Videodisc" format, The latter format failed miserably due to poor quality discs, which always skipped, and the players which had a very high failure rate. Very few copies of Let It Be were pressed on the CED format, making it the hardest to find of the four formats. All of the issues of Let It Be went out of print within a couple of years.

Today, copies of the Let It Be laserdisc are one of the most sought after of all Beatles video releases, with prices exceeding $300 for mint condition copies. Only a few sealed copies are known to exist. VHS and Beta copies are almost as hard to find, but bring prices in the under $100 range. Factory sealed copies are even more valuable, and both of the videotape releases used special shrink wrap imprinted with the 20th Century Fox logo, great for authenticating original unopened copies. All four versions shown above are factory sealed copies, making this set one of the few known to exist in unopened condition.

As of the end of 2000, nineteen years after its initial release, Let It Be has never been issued again. In 1997 a UK company, "VCI", announced plans to issue the movie for the first time in England. They claimed to have a version that was remastered in 1992 and that they would release it in 1997

The Beatles are one of the most commercially successful and critically acclaimed bands in the history of popular music, selling over a billion records internationally.In the United Kingdom, The Beatles released more than 40 different singles, albums, and EPs that reached number one, earning more number one albums than any other group in UK chart history. This commercial success was repeated in many other countries; their record company, EMI, estimated that by 1985 they had sold over one billion records worldwide. According to the Recording Industry Association of America, The Beatles have sold more albums in the United States than any other band. In 2004, Rolling Stone magazine ranked The Beatles number one on its list of 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. According to that same magazine, The Beatles' innovative music and cultural impact helped define the 1960s, and their influence on pop culture is still evident today. In 2008, Billboard magazine released a list of top-selling Hot 100 artists to celebrate the chart's fiftieth anniversary; The Beatles reached #1 again

The title doesn't lie, even if it does sounds like a hyperbolic pitch from an old late-night cable TV ad. With 36 tracks of various genres spread over two discs, Now That's What I Call Christmas might be the best, most eclectic "value-plus" holiday record ever released, assuming your tastes embrace crooners such as Cole, Crosby, and Como, plus contemporary boy bands such as Boyz II Men, as well as the ubiquitous Britney Spears.
In between there are the sumptuous classics by Bobby Helms, Brenda Lee, the Beach Boys, Elvis, and Burl Ives on disc one, balanced on disc two by more recent standards, including Bruce Springsteen's live version of "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town" and John and Yoko's "Happy Xmas (War is Over)."

This is the fruit of a very special collaboration with the world-famous photographer Anne Geddes. They made a photo album with splendid pictures of newborns. Céline did record this album to go along with the art book. The album features mostly lullabys and other songs dedicated to children (including her very own René-Charles). Céline had recorded many of those songs in the past on various albums. We could easily label this album "Mother Céline".

Celine's first Christmas album in English. She already made 2 in French, in 1981 and 1983. But she also made Christmas songs with the Chipmunks and for the Christmas album of David Foster. That album features great duets with Andrea Bocelli and R. Kelly and 2 songs with Celine's whole family. On this album, Celine sings in English, French, Spanish, Latin, and Italian! That album is a good mix between traditional songs and more recent ones. Definitively a must for every fan.
