This is the three-issue comic book series on Marvel Comics 'The Last Temptation' based on the concept album by rock singer, Alice Cooper, released in July 1994 on Epic Records. It centers around a boy named Steven (also the name of the protagonist in Cooper's earlier work 'Steven' on the 'Welcome to My Nightmare' album), and a mysterious Showman. The Showman, with apparent supernatural abilities, attempted with the use of twisted versions of morality plays to persuade Steven to join his traveling show, "The Theatre Of The Real - The Grandest Guignol!", where he would "never grow up".

The full story of 'The Last Temptation' was given in this 3-part comic book series written by Neil Gaiman. The first part accompanied the recording. In the comic, the Showman was depicted as Cooper himself.

It was originally published by Marvel Comics and later reprinted by Dark Horse Comics, and collected as a trade paperback.

Marty's innovative leads added a new dimention to the band, which was before mostly driven by Dave Mustaine's aggressive rhythm guitar.
