Predecessor F-22 Lightning II was released in September 30, 1996. Its minimum requirements were 486/100 MHz or equivalent CPU, 8 MB RAM and 35 MB hard drive space. In both games (Lightning II and 3) aircraft was named 'Lightning II', instead of the correct 'Raptor', even when by 1999 plane was officially named by Air Force as 'Raptor'. F-22 Lightning 3 also failed to come close to the physics modeling shown in DiD's F-22 ADF released 2 years earlier. This has later been explained by NovaLogic since they never intended a 'hard core' military flight simulator, but an easily approachable multiplayer software.

Jennifer Batten is an American guitarist who first received word-of-mouth attention that eventually led guitar magazines to take notice of her highly original approach to the electric guitar. On Guitar Player Monthly's premier compilation CD, John Stix wrote, "It was Jennifer's version of John Coltrane's "Giant Steps" that was considered by her peers the "scariest and most requested cut on the disc."

She was selected from over 100 guitarists to play in Michael Jackson's band on his one and a half year world tour. She played for a total of 4.5 million people on Jackson's first solo tour, the Bad Tour. In the following years she joined Michael on his "Dangerous Tour" as well as 1997's "HIStory Tour", traveling to such countries as South Africa and India. She also joined him in Super Bowl XXVII's half time entertainment which aired to the largest audience in television history (1.5 billion)

In January '93, she joined Jackson to partake in Superbowl XXVII's half time entertainment which aired to one and half billion people in 80 nations. It was the largest audience in television history.

The path to success started to become clearer. Padi was signed for 4 albums under Sony’s label. Their debut album, Lain Dunia, was released a year after, August 6, 1999. Though slowly, the sales was a surely one. More and more people knew PADI after their singles became hit songs. Begitu Indah, Demi Cinta, Seperti Kekasihku, and Mahadewi, to mention but a few. Mahadewi became a hit after its clip was released and topped music charts on TV channels as well as radios nationwide.

Their second album, Sesuatu Yang Tertunda, was released July 2nd, 2001. Some 450,000 copies were sold when it was firs launched. What people would undoubtedly remember from this album is the all-time, legendary hit, “Kasih Tak Sampai”. Many said it would be PADI’s everlasting song, which would be forever remembered.

Save My Soul, the third album, was released June 18, 2004, but launched June 24, 2004. The launching creates such a buzz, as PADI performed on the rooftop of a fast food restaurant at Sarinah - Thamrin, broadcasted live on a private TV channel in Indonesia. The album was said to be full of surprises, as many commented the songs were complicated and rather “off” for market’s taste at the moment. However, it even indicated PADI’s sincerity in music. It was on this third album also that PADI finally brought their dream to collaborate with their music icon, Iwan Fals, into reality in Sesuatu Yang Tertunda. The album was sold 500,000 copies within a week.
