Cheers, New Moon's soundtrack comprises songs that are all original and exclusive to the soundtrack and are performed by various indie rock and alternative rock artists. New Moon director Chris Weitz stated that the soundtrack would feature songs from Radiohead, Muse, and Band of Skulls. Death Cab for Cutie contributes the soundtrack's lead single, a song written specifically for the film called "Meet Me on the Equinox", which debuted September 13 during the MTV Video Music Awards. Bassist Nick Harmer says, "We wrote 'Meet Me On the Equinox' to reflect the celestial themes and motifs that run throughout the Twilight series and we wanted to capture that desperate feeling of endings and beginnings that so strongly affect the main characters." The English rock band Muse contributes a remix of their song "I Belong to You", which appears in its original form on their 2009 album The Resistance. St. Vincent collaborated with Bon Iver's Justin Vernon to create a song called "Rosyln". When describing the song, she said, "[Justin] sings in his beautiful falsetto and I'm actually singing very, very low... I think there's something vampirey and creepy about the two of us singing together. It's a simple, stripped-down kind of song." Mexican Grammy and Latin Grammy nominee Ximena Sariñana will be featured in the Latin American version of the soundtrack, with the song "Frente al Mar" ("In front of the Sea"). The soundtrack, which was chosen by music supervisor Alexandra Patsavas, will be released on October 16, 2009 by Chop Shop Records in conjunction with Atlantic Records. : 2![]() Linkin Park - Bleed It Out | 720x350 | XviD | 26 MB 'Bleed It Out' is the second single from Linkin Park's third studio album, 'Minutes To Midnight', released on August 20th 2007. The song's music video was directed by Joe Hahn and premiered on July 31st 2007 on MTV Germany. The music video was premiered in the United States on August 6th 2007 all day long on MTV2's "Unleashed". It debuted at No.27 on the Muchmusic Countdown on August 3rd. Although the actual CD track features footsteps leading into an opening door followed by the band performing the song in front of a small audience, the video is much different, as it is just one continuous shot with the band performing on a small stage in front of a reversed bar fight scene. Some of the video was made from green screen while the band is performing on stage in the music video. The video starts as the fight is ending, and at the end of the video, it is revealed that a person vomited on another person's shoe, which started the massive fight. The video was named Muchmusic's No.1 Rock video of 2007. #15: Music : DEWA 19 - Republik Cinta

: 2![]() Republik Cinta is the 8th studio album by Dewa 19 and was released in January 2006 in Indonesia; the title translates into "Republic of Love". The album reached #1 on the Indonesian album charts and has since been released in other Asian territories including Malaysia and a Chinese release via EMI in Hong Kong. A studio album is a collection of previously unreleased, studio-recorded tracks by a recording artist. This was Dewa's first album for EMI Indonesia after parting company with their long-term label Aquarius Musikindo in 2005. The EMI Group (LSE: EMI) is a British music company comprising of the major record company EMI Music which operates several labels, based in Brook Green in London, England, and EMI Music Publishing, based on Charing Cross Road, London. ... The album spawned four radio hit singles, "Laskar Cinta", "Selimut Hati","Larut", and "Sedang Ingin Bercinta". "Laskar Cinta" reached # 1 on almost every mainstream radio station in Indonesia. The video clips for all three hits also received heavy rotation on local TV and cable music channels, including MTV Asia. At the 2006 10th AMI Awards (Indonesian music awards), the album was nominated in the "Best Rock Album" category, in addition to the prestigious "Best of the Best Album". : 1![]() This album marks a complete change of sound for the band. The songs were longer, more complex, and featured lyrics about more than just driking & sex. Chris Holmes was never much of a lead guitarist, but on this disc even he steps up and delivers well. This album is heavy and dark (nicely broken up by "Forever Free," a great ballad). Was it the addition of Banali, who's clearly a stronger drummer that made the difference? Who can say, really? At the end of the day, this album took WASP to a new level. If you don't have this and you're any kind of WASP fan, do yourself a favor and pick this on up. Right off the bat, "The Heretic (The Lost Child)" kicks into high gear and sets the pace for the record. Track 2 is a rocking cover of the Who's "The Real Me," which received heavy rotation on MTv back in the day. The Headless Children is packed from beginning to end with interesting songs that make you wonder what happened to the simple rock songs these guys used to churn out. WASP was a band that always rode just under the crest of the Glam Metal wave of the late 1980s. They were too antisocial to gain much radio play and too heavy for many Glam fans. The hairspray, makeup and songs about girls alienated many other metal fans. However, WASP made too much noise to be ignored. #17: Music » Music Video : Steve Vai - BIG TROUBLE
Author: ompeompe | 15 December 2008 |
: 2![]() Steve Vais technical mastery of the guitar is such that, like a gunslinger of old, he used to challenge the audience at Frank Zappa gigs to bring along music scores for him to sight read live on stage. Naturally enough Vais reputation spread and his solos soon became one of the benchmarks that aspiring guitarists measure themselves against. A brief spell in 1985 with Alcatrazz (replacing Yngwie Malmsteen), followed by a couple of years with David Lee Roth, who had by that time split, very publicly, from Eddie Van Halen. His iconic status also led to a collaboration with Ibanez with whom has designed several signature guitars. Steve Vai's guitar work on that album is really amazing, and for the most part totally unconventional. What a monster. Whats What With Steve Vai You may not know the name Steve Vai. But unless you think that heavy metal is just the stuff you dont want in your drinking water, youve undoubtedly heard his screamingly fast guitar work, since hes played with the likes of Ozzy Osbourne,David Lee Roth, Frank Zappa, and Whitesnake. Since leaving that world of overindulgence in the 80s, Vai has maintained a successful solo career with more than a dozen albums; he appears tonight at the Keswick and on Saturday at the Borgata. I caught up with this six-string soldier before sound check. Victor Fiorillo Author: Marcus1989 | 28 November 2008 |
: 3![]() MP3 | 16 Tracks | 256 KBPS | Genre: Country/Pop | 110 MB Come on Over is the third studio album recorded by country singer Shania Twain, released on November 4, 1997. The come-from-nowhere success of Shania Twain's previous album, The Woman in Me, proved that the world was ready for a combination of traditional instruments, girl-power themes, and dance-pop dynamics. Whether Twain is a modern-day Dolly Parton or a country music Spice Girl is a matter of perspective. But with her third album, she accentuates the sing-along choruses and simple dance rhythms while downplaying the country elements. As a pop move, it works wonderfully for her, earning Twain a valued spot on MTV, VH-1, and pop radio. The emphasis is on fun rather than depth, of course. But no one can accuse her of being stingy: she and her Svengali-like producer/husband, slick-rock king Robert "Mutt" Lange (Def Leppard, Bryan Adams, AC/DC), load down the album with 16 songs, all of them quite radio-friendly. Tracks: 1. "You're Still the One" 3:32 2. "When" 3:37 3. "From This Moment On" 4:51 4. "Black Eyes, Blue Tears" 3:36 5. "I Won't Leave You Lonely" 4:06 Author: xtremagix | 28 November 2008 |
: 5![]() Bond - Remixed |Mp3 | Instrumental | 83 MB The words "classical music" and "remix" are not usually found together in the same sentence. But then, Bond isn't your typical classical ensemble. This quartet of comely young women parlayed their model-worthy looks and conservatory training into a winning combination of high-octane versions of "classical" themes and MTV-style visuals that shook up the more conservative elements of the music world. But adventurous listeners responded enthusiastically and catapulted the foursome to stardom. BOND REMIXED offers selections from the group's first two albums that are reworked and ready for the dance floor, including favorites such as "Viva," "Shine," "Victory," and "Fuego." The disc also features several previously unreleased tracks including typically no-holds-barred renditions of "Jingle Bell Rock" and "Bond on Bond," the group's take on the familiar theme from the James Bond films. And for those looking to experience the full Bond treatment, there's a bonus in the form of two video tracks. REMIXED is decidedly not an affair for purists, but fans will find much to enjoy. 1. Yet somehow, on the road to becoming a pop culture phenomenon, the trio never broke a sweat - other than on the stage, giving their all, and living their dream. If anything, Jonas Brothers have embodied the calm within the storm. And since the release of their 2007 self-titled platinum CD, Kevin, Joe and Nick have used their time wisely. As they prove on their new Hollywood Records CD, "A Little Bit Longer," Jonas Brothers have grown exponentially as songwriters, musicians and recording artists. "The lyrical content has gotten more in-depth," says Nick Jonas of the new album. "It's about who we are as people and our personal lives, things we've gone through in the past 12 months." That year was about much more than simply handling a media frenzy with grace and humor. Author: rcube_2008 | 25 September 2008 |
