This is the three-issue comic book series on Marvel Comics 'The Last Temptation' based on the concept album by rock singer, Alice Cooper, released in July 1994 on Epic Records. It centers around a boy named Steven (also the name of the protagonist in Cooper's earlier work 'Steven' on the 'Welcome to My Nightmare' album), and a mysterious Showman. The Showman, with apparent supernatural abilities, attempted with the use of twisted versions of morality plays to persuade Steven to join his traveling show, "The Theatre Of The Real - The Grandest Guignol!", where he would "never grow up".

The full story of 'The Last Temptation' was given in this 3-part comic book series written by Neil Gaiman. The first part accompanied the recording. In the comic, the Showman was depicted as Cooper himself.

It was originally published by Marvel Comics and later reprinted by Dark Horse Comics, and collected as a trade paperback.

MTV announced the nominees for the 2009 MTV Movie Awards this morning. The full announcement follows:
The hit films "Twilight" and "Slumdog Millionaire" get ready to battle it out as MTV: Music Television announces this year's final nominees for the "2009 MTV MOVIE AWARDS." Pitting Hollywood vampires against the Mumbai slums, the movies' rabid fans proved their loyalty as they sent both flicks to the head of the cinematic pack with each film receiving nominations in six award categories including "BEST MOVIE," "BEST KISS" and "BREAKTHROUGH PERFORMANCE MALE."

MTV will up the cinematic fun quotient this year by debuting the two new categories "BEST SONG FROM A MOVIE" and "BEST WTF MOMENT." Fans will get the chance to vote on such movie soundtrack hits as "The Climb" from "Hannah Montana: The Movie" as well as pick this year's most jaw-dropping "WTF" movie moment that left audiences speechless such as the naked break-up scene in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall." The original lineup of W.A.S.P. was formed in Los Angeles, California in 1982 by Blackie Lawless, Rik Fox, Randy Piper and Tony Richards. Shortly afterwards, Don Costa also left the band and his position on the bass was filled by Lawless. At the same time, guitarist Chris Holmes joined the band.

W.A.S.P. signed to Capitol Records for their debut album, W.A.S.P., released on August 17, 1984. The debut was at one time planned for release with the title "Winged Assassins". The band's first single Animal (**** Like a Beast) was omitted from the album in the United States to prevent it from being banned from major chain stores.
