Every seven years a tournament takes place in an unsuspecting town where 30 of the world’s deadliest killers battle to see who is best and for the ten million dollar cash prize. Returning champion Joshau Harlow (Ving Rhames) is back because he has been informed that one of this year’s contestants is responsible for the death of his wife. Each contestant has a tracking marker surgically implanted inside them so that they (and the viewers) can track their opponents. A parkour style assassin (Sebastien Foucan from Casino Royale) cuts out his tracker and ditches it in a cup of coffee which is then drunk and swallowed by alcoholic Father Joseph Macavoy (Robert Carlyle). Chinese assassin Lai Lai Zen (Kelly Hu) realizes quickly that Joseph Macavoy is not a player and decides to keep him alive.

The game is set in New York City as a virus infects people and government military try to defend against it. The protagonist of the story is named Alex Mercer, who has enemy-absorbing and shapeshifting powers. He can take memories, experiences, biomass and physical forms of the enemies through absorption. Alex can also shapeshift into more specialized forms for attack, defense or sensory enhancement. All of these together are intended to give players multiple ways to complete their objectives.

Mirror's Edge is a single-player first person action-adventure video game developed by EA Digital Illusions CE (DICE) and published by Electronic Arts. The game was announced on July 10, 2007, and was released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in November 2008. A Windows version was released on January 16, 2009.[9] Mirror's Edge is powered by the Unreal Engine 3 with the addition of a new lighting solution, developed by Illuminate Labs in association with DICE.[2]

In an interview with the magazine PC Games Producer Assassin's Creed 2, Pyuel Sebastian (Sebastian Puel), tells about the game and the engine on which it is developed. He spoke about the new opportunities that will be used in the Assassin's Creed 2.

Mirror's Edge takes place in an unnamed city where a totalitarian regime monitors its citizens through invasive surveillance, tracking all forms of electronic communication in order to reduce crime and quell any challenge to its power. An upcoming mayoral election seeks to retain Mayor Callaghan in power to keep the government's control on the city, though a new favored candidate Robert Pope promises to bring change. The Eurasian protagonist, Faith Connors, is a "Runner", a person trained in parkour, to stay out of sight and to use rooftops and other means to help deliver physical messages between revolutionary groups within the city. Faith along with another Runner, Celeste, were both trained by Mercury who also provides radio support for the two

Specification: Mirror's Edgewill require you to have at least a Pentium 4 running at no less than 2.4 GHz or an Athlon 64 with a 2800+ rating.
You will need at least 1 GB of RAM memory although for the game to run smoothly 2 GB are recommended.
On the graphics front you will need the power of a GeForce 6 Series card with at least 256MB of VRAM or, as an alternative, an ATI made X1650 card or HD2400.
The game apparently runs on both Windows XP and Windows Vista with the advantage that the second operating system allows the game to benefit from Direct X 10.
