On Sunday, November 2 at 8:00 p.m. ET HDNet TV's "Concert Series" will present MEGADETH's "Blood In The Water: Live in San Diego". The show description reads as follows: "Pioneers of the American thrash metal genre, MEGADETH has become one of the most commercially successful heavy metal bands of all time. Watch as they perform to a raucous hometown crowd at the Cox Arena in San Diego, California on the 2008 Gigantour tour. Dave Mustane AND MEGADETH push the limit, playing faster and heavier than ever in the ultimate MEGADETH experience."

MEGADETH will embark on the "Priest Feast" European tour with headliners JUDAS PRIEST and openers TESTAMENT in February 2009. The band's new CD is being helmed by acclaimed British producer Andy "Undie" Sneap, who produced MEGADETH's last album, "United Abominations" (May 2007, Roadrunner Records).

MEGADETH's forthcoming LP will be the group's first with guitarist Chris Broderick (NEVERMORE, JAG PANZER), who replaced Glen Drover at the end of last year.

Slipknot is the debut studio album by American metal band Slipknot. It was released on June 29, 1999 by Roadrunner Records. The album spans many genres, but is generally noted for its extensive percussion and overall heavy sound. Slipknot was well received by fans and critics alike and was responsible for bringing Slipknot a large increase in popularity. The album peaked at number 51 on the Billboard 200, and has gone on to become certified double platinum in the United States, making it the band's best selling album.

In early 2000, Slipknot was certified platinum, a first for an album released by Roadrunner Records. In July 2001, Q named Slipknot as one of the "50 Heaviest Albums of All Time".
