George Lynch was born in Spokane, Washington on September 28th 1954 and was raised in Sacramento, California, and is best known for being in the 80s hard rock band ‘’Dokken’’. He is a highly respected modern guitarist, compared to such players as Steve Vai and Eddie Van Halen. He is well known for his stunning legato technique and the common use of the scale he calls the ‘’Gothic Octave’’. George auditioned to be Ozzy Osbourne's guitarist twice, once in 1979, losing to the late, great, Randy Rhodes (and another time in 1982 to replace Brad Gillis). According to George, he was hired for three days until Ozzy changed his mind and decided to go with Jake E. Lee. Lee, however claims that Lynch ‘Got the gig’, but only went on the road for two weeks to watch the show, and never actually played with Ozzy. This is my truely favorite Guitar Player, with this Video Guitar Tutorial you will find amazing technique from him! Check it out He came to fame with Dokken in the 80’s, whom which he had been a member of since the 70’s. Dokken had a string of successful gold albums and Lynch's lead work was highly acclaimed on all of them and cemented his place in the legion of guitar heroes. Despite being hugely successful, Lynch left Dokken in 1990 due to tension with lead vocalist Don Dokken. George went and formed his own band ‘’Lynch Mob’’ whose style was similar to Dokken’s, but were never as successful. |

G3: Live in Concert is a live album by the G3 project, led by Joe Satriani. It was released in 1997 by Epic Records. This lineup of G3 includes Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson and Steve Vai. In 2005, a DVD of this concert was also released. On G3 Live three of the most talented electric guitar players of all-time come together for a video that sizzles with creative synergy. Out of the three pieces they play together, their version of RED HOUSE is awesome! The three blend and complement one another nicely, beginning with a classic blues opening and gradually building in intensity. the song is extended to include a solo by each of the three after each verse, and to close it out they trade eights- (one guitar plays a riff and the next one responds), finishing strong with a great ending. Hendrix would have been proud and probably impressed by this fine rendition. The only liability with their cover of RED HOUSE is Eric Johnson's drab singing, but then again- when you listen, you will be so amazed by the guitar work that Roseanne Barr could be singing, and it would still sound pretty darn good! But seriously, it is an awesome album, that gives an excellent taste of some of the best work of these three- check it out! |

Ozzmosis is an album by Ozzy Osbourne. It was originally released on October 23, 1995, through Epic Records. After Osbourne's supposed retirement for four years, he regrouped with guitarist Zakk Wylde, bassist Mike Inez, drummer Randy Castillo, and producer Michael Wagener to record a comeback album. Epic Records told Wagener that they want "exactly the same record as No More Tears." After seven songs were recorded from start to finish, the record company executives, after listening to the tracks (which included future b-sides "Aimee," "Living With The Enemy," and the Prince of Darkness box set version of "See You On The Other Side"), said, "Now we want it to sound like Soundgarden." The project was then scrapped and later handed off to Soundgarden producer Michael Beinhorn to finish. Sometime after the sessions with Wagener, Inez and Castillo were replaced with Geezer Butler (who had recently left Black Sabbath after a major falling out with Tony Iommi) and Deen Castronovo (currently with Journey). One song from the album, "My Little Man," was co-written with guitarist STEVE VAI for a project Osbourne planned to do with Vai, Bob Daisley, and Castronovo titled "X-Ray." Another song from this collaboration, "Dyin' Day", can be found in instrumental form on Vai's 1996 album FIRE GARDEN. |

#18: E-Books : Beyond Candlesticks by Steve Nison |

Known internationally as `` The Father of Candlesticks,'' Nison reveals more Japanese charting methods which have never been published or used in the Western world. Describes kagi, renko and three-line break charts. Provides a brief review of candlesticks and previously una vailable candlestick patterns that can be used in equities, fixed-income, foreign exchange and overseas markets. If you already own "Japanese Candlestick Charting Techniques" by the same author, then this is going to be alot of review for you. Most of the book is just much of the same information contained in aforementioned. Unless you are seeking a heavy dose of more of the same, no need to purchase this one, stick to the first book, which should serve you well as a reference. From the "Father of Candlesticks"—penetrating new Japanese techniques for forecasting and tracking market prices and improving market timing Steve Nison has done it again. The man who revolutionized technical analysis by introducing Japanese candlestick charting techniques to Western traders is back—this time with a quartet of powerful Japanese techniques never before published or used in the West. |

#19: E-Books : Float Analysis by Steve Woods |
 |

| The Author: ompeompe | 25 December 2008 | Views: 1128 |

|

This book is really good since it takes a subject (A Stocks Float) and explains its` important role, and gives the reader a little more education on buying and selling power in the markets and this may be a brilliant new concept. A stock's float is the total number of shares a vailable to the public for trading. When this total number of shares gets traded in the market (whether over a week, a month, or a year), you have a "float turnover". This book argues that float turnovers are closely correlated with significant price moves. It's a simple and clear idea, made all the more persuasive by the fact that there's a common-sense explanation for it: a float turnover represents an complete change of ownership in who holds the stock; so if, for example, the new owners are significantly more bullish than the previous owners, they will be more reluctant to sell, and the price will rise. Mr. Woods makes a good case that the float is a relevant piece of information, and I don't doubt that many traders will be grateful to him for bringing this to their attention. |

#21: Music » Music Video : STEVE VAI - For The Love of GOD |
 |

|
|
| |
"SHUT UP – WE KNOW YOU CAN PLAY!” This is a Video instruction how to play "For The Love of God" note by note in PASSION AND WARFARE Album Widely acclaimed as his best album, Passion and Warfare finds Steve Vai coming into his own as a composer, as well as bypassing vocals almost entirely. His style isn't quite as derivative of influences Frank Zappa and Joe Satriani as it was six years earlier on Flex-able; while some of Vai's sense of humor is still evident on tracks like the cock rock strut of "The Audience Is Listening," it is mostly replaced by a spiritual reflectiveness on ballads like "For the Love of God" and "Blue Powder" and dignified, committed rockers like "I Would Love To" and "Liberty." Vai is a more distinguished composer than most of his guitar-shredder contemporaries, and rather than simply showing off his technique, he isn't afraid to experiment or take chances in his playing. Thus, Passion and Warfare is arguably the richest and best hard rock guitar-virtuoso album of the '80s. Steve Vai (SV) took time out from talking to muso mags to shoot the breeze with me backstage at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 4 June 1997. Mike Keneally (MK) also joined us on the fat floating sofa in Steve’s dressing room. |

This is clearly one of the best investment books ever written…a distinguished effort of research, analysis, and translation… not only complete and informative, but also enjoyable to read. Steve has done a good job of relating, and clearly illustrating, the way in which the Japanese candlestick charting techniques fit in with and complement traditional Western technical tools… this book has become the standard text on the subject. An exciting and valuable addition to the literature of technical analysis… this ancient Japanese technique is a vailable to American traders in a comprehensive, well-written, and understandable format. It’s hard not to be too effusive about the quality of Nison’s work, this strongly recommended book, which has already become an investment classic. The candlestick charts and charting techniques provided by Nison have become an important tool for our international securities market making. They provide a wealth of information and are instrumental for our daily operations. The charting technique is valuable for the individual or professional investor. Completely informative and global in its outlook, Japanese Candlestick Charting Techniques, Second Edition provides an in-depth explanation of candlestick plotting and analysis. This exciting book exposes the reader to the practical applications Steve Nison gained from years of study and research in this now popular and dynamic area. Today, almost all charting packages include candle charts. |

This is a great expo of Steve Vai and his incredible talent. You will watched this Video over and over and you will love it. His playing in incredible. His stage antics are fun, entertaining and moving. It truly shows off Steve Vai's talent and personality. Steve Vai, he's not only an incredible guitarist but simply radiates life and music. If you are a pop music fan that does not consider a piece of music to be real music if there is no lead singer...skip this. If you believe there is never any reason to become a vituoso guitar player...or if you think playing the same 3 cords over and over while repeating the same tired blues licks makes you a virtuoso...skip this. If you think a guitarist like Clapton standing in one spot for an entire show is the way to go...SKIP THIS. This Video is for guitar players. If you need inspiration...if you need to know what the guitar is capable of.. .the Video is for you. If you like showmanship in a live performance..THIS IS FOR YOU. Vai is one-of-a-kind. Most can't say that. He moves, he grooves...and he still plays things that mortals cannot play. Excellent video of an excellent band, starring the incredible Steve Vai. You can learn a lot from watching carefully! Maybe guitar heros in the music world are no longer important recently. When Hendrix and Eddie Van Halen played, automatically generations wanted to play. No players have come across since then with such apogee and influenced as many. But Steve Vai actually makes the guitar an anttractive instrument to listen to. |

This is the second solo album from Steve Vai shows the guitarist coming into his own as a composer, matching his prodigious talent as a performer. The result is an entertaining mix. The hilarious "Audience is Listening" complements more reflective pieces such as "For the Love of God." The high-powered "Animal" and "Greasy Kid's Stuff" are balanced by "Blue Powder" and "Alien Water Kiss." Unlike most guitar-god solo recordings, Passion & Warfare avoids the sort of technical noodling that is uninteresting to everyone except other guitarists, opting instead for a collection of high-quality music that is full of compositional experimentation without ever getting out of control. This the definitive Vai album. It contains Vai's greatest work and the playing is the best you've ever heard. Vai lets his guitar do most of the talking on this album and boy can he make it talk. This is absolutely fantastic album, guitars and more guitars. This release features a very wide range of Steve's styles, from ballads like "Sisters" to dirty grooves like "The Animal" to epic guitar masterpieces like "For the Love of God". |

Steven " Steve" Siro Vai (born June 6, 1960 in Carle Place, New York) is an American instrumental rock guitarist, songwriter, vocalist, producer, and actor. After starting his professional career as a music transcriptionist for Frank Zappa, Vai would also record and tour in Zappa's backing band starting in 1980. The guitarist began a solo career starting in 1984 and has released 13 solo albums as of 2008. Apart from his work with Frank Zappa, Vai has also recorded and toured with numerous musical artists including Alcatrazz, David Lee Roth and Whitesnake. Vai has been a regular touring member of the G3 Concert Tour which began in 1996. In 1999 Vai started his own record label Favored Nations with the intent to showcase, as Vai describes: "...artists that have attained the highest performance level on their chosen instruments." With this you can find 2 articles and a book: 10 Hour Workout, 30 Hour Path To Virtuoso Enlightenmen, and Guitar Books...From Steve VaiVai also helped design his signature Ibanez JEM series of guitars. They feature a hand grip (fondly referred to as a "monkey grip") cut into the top of the body of the guitar, a humbucker-single coil-humbucker DiMarzio pickup configuration with several different types of pickup including Evolution, Breed and EVO 2. He also uses an Ibanez Edge double-locking tremolo system (the current production JEMs have the newer Edge Pro), as well as an elaborate and extensive "Tree of Life" inlay down the neck. Vai also equips many of his guitars with an Ibanez Backstop, a tremolo stabilizer that has been discontinued. Lately Vai has also equipped some of his guitars with True Temperament fretboards in order for his chords to sound completly in tune.[6] Vai also has a 7-string model designed by him named Ibanez Universe. The Universe later influenced the 7-string guitars used by Korn and other bands to create nu metal sounds in the late 1990s. He also has a signature Ibanez acoustic, the Euphoria. Before he used Ibanez, he briefly endorsed Jackson guitars, but this relationship would only last for two years. |

#26: Music : Mr. BIG - Lean Into It (TAB GUITARS+MP3) |
 |

|
|
| |
By the late 80s, "shred" was somewhat popular -- the new wave of progressive "musician's bands" who could play mind-blowing complicated riffs on their instruments at lightning speeds. Mr. Big combined two popular musical trends of the rock scene: a particular brand of hard rock, often referred to as cock-rock, focused on melodies and listener-friendly choruses, and impressive technical proficiency, then called shredding. Mr. Big, one of the few bands to master both technical playing and "song" playing, and it's a shame that most people aren't familiar with them beyond one song. " Lean Into It" certainly has its share of dazzling playing in the solos and certain intros, but over all it's an album that non-musicians are going to like too. This was the real big turning point in their writing direction. The album includes solid rock such as Daddy Brother.., groovy sound such as Road To Ruin, great soulful melodic rock track Green-Tinted Sixties Mind. It could give you nice starting point to get to know the BIG rockers. Mr. Big was an American hard rock super group. Formed in 1988, Mr. Big was particularly popular in Japan. Mr. Big are probably best known for their 1991 rock hit, " Lean Into It" released in 1991 is their greatest success so far in the U.S. To Be With You became #1 and Just Take My Heart became huge hit in the U.S. |

The multicolor die-cast zinc case of the new Steve Vai signature distortion pedal makes sure it will stand out on even the most crowded pedal board. with both TS9 Tubescreamer overdrive as well as the classic distortion tones long associated with Steve Vai. All sections and of this carefully Steve Vai-tweaked and modified. Wach him demonstrated use The Jemini. Very interesting video! " You're stomping all over my brilliant idea, but that's OK, you're supposed to. The goal was to create a schizophrenic type distortion pedal that allows you to have two different settings with two different sounding distortion pedals, all wrapped up in a psycho-delic bullet proof package. Now you can get your dirty little groove on in public... legally. Stomp on!" — Steve VaiSteve Vai is an odd man. how many people come up with their own scale? So it's no surprise really when Steve decides to do a two person review of his new pedal with himself. Still, it's good to see he has a sense of humour, especially about himself. This new pedal of his distortion. You will find the demo's to be to round and muddy. Steve Vai has always been one of the biggest guitar heros and a constant inspiration so you always will interested when you see he has a new product out. Now the Ibanez Jemini has been out a while in fact it was announced at winter NAMM 2008, see the post here, but Mr Vai just posted a video up on his YouTube channel of erm, well Steve Vai and Steve Vai doing a demo of the 2 channel distortion pedal. Not only does it show the 2 different distortion channels it is also pretty entertaining to watch, Steve has a good sense of humour and abuses himself throughout which is funny. |

An amazing work by an amazing musician. A lot of people pigeonhole Steve Vai into being just another guitarist, a relic of the shred-happy '80s. But take another listen. Forget his stints in Alcatrazz and Whitesnake, forget that ridiculous triple-necked heart guitar that backed David Lee Roth, and listen to Vai's own music, made on his own terms. Yes, he is an incredibly talented guitarist, but he's also much more, a true modern-day composer. No matter how off-the-wall his songs seem, there's an amazing musical quality and deep spirituality that underscores every note in his truly amazing body of work. The first phase is pure magic, especially the Fire Garden Suite. His lyrics are a little corny in some of the tracks in phase 2, but his voice, while not the most beautiful in the world, fits every song perfectly. In closing, this is an amazing album in both its scope and its execution, giving the listener a glimpse at the many sides of Steve Vai, the man. This is a wonderful album. So much melody, so many twists and turns, so much fun. A definite must-have; This album recommended highly enough |

Pro Tools is a Digital Audio Workstation platform for Mac OS and Microsoft Windows operating systems, developed and manufactured by Digidesign, a division of Avid Technology. It is widely used by professionals throughout the audio industries for recording and editing in music production, film scoring, television and post production. Pro Tools has three types of systems; HD, LE, and M-powered. HD is the high-end package and is an integration of hardware and software. The hardware includes an external A/D converter and internal PCI or PCIe audio cards with onboard DSP. Fundamentally, Pro Tools is similar to a multitrack tape recorder and mixer, with additional features that can only be performed in the digital medium. The high-end version supports sample rates of up to 192 kHz and bit depths of 16 and 24 bit, opens WAV, AIFF, mp3 and SDII audio files and QuickTime video files, and features time code, tempo maps, automation and surround sound capabilities. In this you can watch Steve Vai demonstrated use pro tools in his studio ProTools is a professional audio engineering software program made by Digidesign. Although it's used by top-notch pros in the radio industry, ProTools has a fairly easy learning curve, making it just as good for beginners. |

Steve Vai’s technical mastery of the guitar is such that, like a gunslinger of old, he used to challenge the audience at Frank Zappa gigs to bring along music scores for him to sight read live on stage. Naturally enough Vai’s reputation spread and his solos soon became one of the benchmarks that aspiring guitarists measure themselves against. A brief spell in 1985 with Alcatrazz (replacing Yngwie Malmsteen), followed by a couple of years with David Lee Roth, who had by that time split, very publicly, from Eddie Van Halen. His iconic status also led to a collaboration with Ibanez with whom has designed several signature guitars. Steve Vai's guitar work on that album is really amazing, and for the most part totally unconventional. What a monster. What’s What With … Steve Vai You may not know the name Steve Vai. But unless you think that heavy metal is just the stuff you don’t want in your drinking water, you’ve undoubtedly heard his screamingly fast guitar work, since he’s played with the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, David Lee Roth, Frank Zappa, and Whitesnake. Since leaving that world of overindulgence in the ’80s, Vai has maintained a successful solo career with more than a dozen albums; he appears tonight at the Keswick and on Saturday at the Borgata. I caught up with this six-string soldier before sound check. — Victor Fiorillo |
