EP 2.1 To New Beginnings
Forced to attend summer school following the police crashing Naomi’s after-prom party, Naomi, Silver and Adrianna form a tight bond with one another, while Annie finds herself more isolated from her friends and family as she worries about her hit-and-run. As summer draws to a close, the gang hangs out at the Beverly Hills Beach Club, where Naomi and Silver meet Teddy, the son of a famous movie star. Meanwhile, Dixon and Silver work to save their relationship, but it may be too little too late.

Having spent the last three days watching crappy B grade horror films, to catch up on his website movie reviews…

The first summer blockbuster of the year, X-Men 2 receives its world release on May 1st in an effort to strike the first blow against the Matrix Reloaded and The Hulk as the defining "event picture" of 2003.

The franchise has moved on and expanded from the highly introductory first film, which seemed to take so long presenting all the characters, conflicts and special characteristics that there was little time left for anything other than exposition and backstory. Here in the second instalment new mutants are sprinkled into the mix, existing X-Men are seen to mature and grow (particularly the adolescent pupils of Dr X's Academy) loyalties are shifted and the mood darkens considerably.

After a dreadful summer with the Dursleys, Harry Potter can't wait to start his third year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Events take a strange turn, however, when Harry discovers that Sirius Black, the man believed to have betrayed Harry's parents and thus responsible for their murders, has escaped from the wizard prison Azkaban.

Black appears to be seeking revenge on Harry for thwarting "You-Know-Who",while the Dementors, Azkaban prison guards sent to Hogwarts to protect the school and recapture Black, affect Harry in a disturbing way. With the help of his friends, Ron and Hermione, Harry is intent on unraveling the mystery surrounding Sirius Black and his escape from Azkaban.
