Fundamental Formulas of Physics, Vol. 1, 2 407 pages | Mar 4, 1960 | PDF | 21.4 MB + 25.42 MB | RSWell written descriptions; and well thought-out examples are given when needed. I have both volumes and they have been a great resource to me while developing Modelling Software. Multiple Author’s contributions have resulted in a little overlapping, but there was one benefit to this - seeing adapted forms of the same formula. I also like the book: “ The Cambridge Handbook of Physics Formulas (230 pages)” which is 40 years newer. But have found myself referring this two-volume-set the most recently (totaling 741 pages) because: more fields & cross-fields are covered, great examples, smaller hand-held size, jammed packed prerequisite math formulas & data (153 pages) in first four chapters including: Pre/Post Calculus, Fourier Series, Green Function, Vectors, Tensors, etc. (good brush up - been out of college few years) Also locating a p articular formula is quick because of the Large Detailed Split-page Contents at beginning of both volumes (20 pages each) and also helpful - chapter names are printed on both covers. |

Steven "Steve" Siro Vai (born June 6, 1960 in Carle Place, New York) is an American instrumental rock guitarist, songwriter, vocalist, producer, and actor. After st arting his professional career as a music transcriptionist for Frank Zappa, Vai would also record and tour in Zappa's backing band st arting in 1980. The guitarist began a solo career st arting in 1984 and has released 13 solo albums as of 2008. Ap art from his work with Frank Zappa, Vai has also recorded and toured with numerous musical artists including Alcatrazz, David Lee Roth and Whitesnake. Vai has been a regular touring member of the G3 Concert Tour which began in 1996. In 1999 Vai st arted his own record label Favored Nations with the intent to showcase, as Vai describes: "... artists that have attained the highest performance level on their chosen instruments." With this you can find 2 articles and a book: 10 Hour Workout, 30 Hour Path To Virtuoso Enlightenmen, and Guitar Books...From Steve Vai Vai also helped design his signature Ibanez JEM series of guitars. They feature a hand grip (fondly referred to as a "monkey grip") cut into the top of the body of the guitar, a humbucker-single coil-humbucker DiMarzio pickup configuration with several different types of pickup including Evolution, Breed and EVO 2. He also uses an Ibanez Edge double-locking tremolo system ( the current production JEMs have the newer Edge Pro), as well as an elaborate and extensive "Tree of Life" inlay down the neck. Vai also equips many of his guitars with an Ibanez Backstop, a tremolo stabilizer that has been discontinued. Lately Vai has also equipped some of his guitars with True Temperament fretboards in order for his chords to sound completly in tune.[6] Vai also has a 7-string model designed by him named Ibanez Universe. The Universe later influenced the 7-string guitars used by Korn and o ther bands to create nu metal sounds in the late 1990s. He also has a signature Ibanez acoustic, the Euphoria. Before he used Ibanez, he briefly endorsed Jackson guitars, but this relationship would only last for two years. |

#22: Music : VAN HALEN - 5150 (TAB GUITARS+MP3) |

This is is the seventh album and the first Van Halen record with sammy on vocals, released in 1986. And this is their biggest selling album with sammy as the singer. It went 6 times platnium. And so, the Sammy Hagar years begun also he really steped up and belts out some great vocals. With the oberheim keyboard classic sound. The guitar riffs are great and it feels like a p arty. The guys sound like they're having fun. Includes classics like "Dreams", and "Summer Nights". The songs from this album have energy and the sound is timeless. "Dreams" is more commercial with a synth driven opening and a hook that is very memorable and could be enjoyed by both pop and rock fans. "Love Walks In" a power ballad is among the slowest songs. "Best of Both World's" is the complete opposite, a ragy classic rock an them and ditto with the title track and "Summer Nights" where Eddie Van Halen proves why he's considered among the world's greatest guitarists. "Good Enough" and "Get Up" are standards in fast pace, good p arty songs! Brings back a lot of good memories... There is something for everyone here, rock standards, rock ballads and some quite commercial synth laden rock-pop songs. The album was named after Eddie Van Halen's home studio, 5150, which is a California police term for a mentally disturbed person (a reference to Section 5150 of the California Welfare and Institutions Code). The 5150 name has been used several times by Van Halen. It is the name of Eddie Van Halen's private studio, the name of a custom Frankenstein striped Kramer Pacer Special used by Eddie Van Halen throughout the 80s, and it is the model name of a signature guitar amplifier endorsed by Eddie for Peavey Electronics. |

Language: English Number of Pages: 100 PDF: 14 MB The first issue of Nuts & Volts was published in 1980. It was originally designed as a newsprint, all advertising publication that was mostly given away. Over the next few years, the magazine continued to grow in readership and advertising, however, not much changed until February 1992 when NV was changed to a tabloid format and st arted to make the shift to a more content-oriented publication. New editorial features were added along with monthly columns and projects for electronics DIYers. Since then, it has grown into one of the most popular and relevant magazines for the electronics hobbyist in the nation. Beginning with the January 2003 issue, Nuts & Volts was reformatted from a tabloid size back to a standard magazine size. NV now averages about 100 pages and is printed on high-quality paper in full color. Nuts & Volts is the leading magazine for those seriously interested in electronics. There now remain only a handful of magazines written for the electronics community with Nuts & Volts being the highest readership, longest running electronics publication left in the US today. And we still have readers and advertisers that have been with us since the early 80s. |

Pioneer’s DJS software was designed for professional and amateur DJs to enable full-scale DJ play on a PC. The software offers the same playability and functionality as the company's Pro DJ products, using a PC instead of two CDJ turntables and a DJ mixer. The DJS software combines the key elements of Pioneer's professional digital CD decks and mixers with a host of innovative features including: • Auto mixing • Waveform display for indicating playing position and cue/loop points • BPM synchronization and beat synchronization • Eight effects including Delay, Echo, Auto Pan, Trans, Filter, Flanger, Reverb and Pitch Shifter • Fader st art function for controlling the playback of two players (channel, fader and cross fader) • Create function for setting four points for cues or loops in a song Also included is a ripping function for converting CD, line input signals and wave files to MP3. The graphic user interface is intuitive and easy to understand. It follows the same ergonomic design used in all Pioneer CDJ products and mixers. The display shows everything a professional DJ needs to see, including time, BPM, mixer controls, jog dial, hot cue buttons, etc. The DJ can assign basic functions to a p articular key on the PC keyboard. By doing this for frequently used functions, the DJ can establish his or her own playing style – on a keyboard. In addition, the “SYNC” feature automatically beat matches the cued track to the track that is playing and a powerful effects program mimics the effector features of the DJM-600. |

Nokia's new Morph concept phone would use nanotechnology to give it a flexible body with a transparent display that could be re-shaped depending on the user's needs, a far cry from today's solid and chunky devices. Even the electronics inside it would be transparent and flexible, so the whole phone may be twisted and stretched into bracelet shapes or tablet form, and nanotech cleverness means it would even clean itself. Developed in cooperation with Cambridge University, this glimpse of a distant future is now on display at the MoMA in New York. Jump for video and yadda-yadda press release. Nokia and University of Cambridge launch the Morph - a nanotechnology concept device New York, US and Espoo, Finland — Morph, a joint nanotechnology concept, developed by Nokia Research Center (NRC) and the University of Cambridge (UK) - was launched today alongside the "Design and the Elastic Mind" exhibition, on view from February 24 to May 12, 2008, at The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. Morph features in both the exhibition catalog and on MoMA's official website. Morph is a concept that demonstrates how future mobile devices might be stretchable and flexible, allowing the user to transform their mobile device into radically different shapes. It demonstrates the ultimate functionality that nanotechnology might be capable of delivering: flexible materials, transparent electronics and self-cleaning surfaces. |
