Here's a more complete list of who is on the album and where they come from. All the songs are good versions and stick so close to Alices originals that uniformed listeners may ealily mistake them for Alice:
Joe Elliott - Def Leopard / Phil Collen - Def Leopard / Bob Kulick - Meat Loaf, Queen / Pat Torpey - David Lee Roth Band / Clarence Clemons - E Street Band
Dave Mustaine - Megadeth / Marty Friedman - Megadeth / Bob Daisley - Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne, Uriah Heep / Eric Singer - Kiss
Roger Daltrey - The Who / Slash - GnR / Mike Inez - Alice In Chains / Carmine Appice - Vanilla Fudge
Ronnie James Dio - Dio, Black Sabbath / Steve Lukather - Toto / Phil Soussan - Ozzy Osbourne, Vince Neil, Billy Idol / Randy Castillo - Ozzy Osbourne

STEVE VAI - For The Love of GOD

"SHUT UP – WE KNOW YOU CAN PLAY!”

This is a Video instruction how to play "For The Love of God" note by note in PASSION AND WARFARE Album

Widely acclaimed as his best album, Passion and Warfare finds Steve Vai coming into his own as a composer, as well as bypassing vocals almost entirely. His style isn't quite as derivative of influences Frank Zappa and Joe Satriani as it was six years earlier on Flex-able; while some of Vai's sense of humor is still evident on tracks like the cock rock strut of "The Audience Is Listening," it is mostly replaced by a spiritual reflectiveness on ballads like "For the Love of God" and "Blue Powder" and dignified, committed rockers like "I Would Love To" and "Liberty." Vai is a more distinguished composer than most of his guitar-shredder contemporaries, and rather than simply showing off his technique, he isn't afraid to experiment or take chances in his playing. Thus, Passion and Warfare is arguably the richest and best hard rock guitar-virtuoso album of the '80s.

Steve Vai (SV) took time out from talking to muso mags to shoot the breeze with me backstage at the Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 4 June 1997. Mike Keneally (MK) also joined us on the fat floating sofa in Steve’s dressing room.

STEVE VAI - Book and Articles

Steven "Steve" Siro Vai (born June 6, 1960 in Carle Place, New York) is an American instrumental rock guitarist, songwriter, vocalist, producer, and actor. After starting his professional career as a music transcriptionist for Frank Zappa, Vai would also record and tour in Zappa's backing band starting in 1980. The guitarist began a solo career starting in 1984 and has released 13 solo albums as of 2008. Apart from his work with Frank Zappa, Vai has also recorded and toured with numerous musical artists including Alcatrazz, David Lee Roth and Whitesnake.

Vai has been a regular touring member of the G3 Concert Tour which began in 1996. In 1999 Vai started his own record label Favored Nations with the intent to showcase, as Vai describes: "...artists that have attained the highest performance level on their chosen instruments."

With this you can find 2 articles and a book: 10 Hour Workout, 30 Hour Path To Virtuoso Enlightenmen, and Guitar Books...From Steve Vai

Vai also helped design his signature Ibanez JEM series of guitars. They feature a hand grip (fondly referred to as a "monkey grip") cut into the top of the body of the guitar, a humbucker-single coil-humbucker DiMarzio pickup configuration with several different types of pickup including Evolution, Breed and EVO 2. He also uses an Ibanez Edge double-locking tremolo system (the current production JEMs have the newer Edge Pro), as well as an elaborate and extensive "Tree of Life" inlay down the neck. Vai also equips many of his guitars with an Ibanez Backstop, a tremolo stabilizer that has been discontinued. Lately Vai has also equipped some of his guitars with True Temperament fretboards in order for his chords to sound completly in tune.[6] Vai also has a 7-string model designed by him named Ibanez Universe. The Universe later influenced the 7-string guitars used by Korn and other bands to create nu metal sounds in the late 1990s. He also has a signature Ibanez acoustic, the Euphoria. Before he used Ibanez, he briefly endorsed Jackson guitars, but this relationship would only last for two years.

STEVE VAI - Fire Garden (TAB GUITARS+MP3)

An amazing work by an amazing musician. A lot of people pigeonhole Steve Vai into being just another guitarist, a relic of the shred-happy '80s. But take another listen. Forget his stints in Alcatrazz and Whitesnake, forget that ridiculous triple-necked heart guitar that backed David Lee Roth, and listen to Vai's own music, made on his own terms. Yes, he is an incredibly talented guitarist, but he's also much more, a true modern-day composer.

No matter how off-the-wall his songs seem, there's an amazing musical quality and deep spirituality that underscores every note in his truly amazing body of work.

The first phase is pure magic, especially the Fire Garden Suite. His lyrics are a little corny in some of the tracks in phase 2, but his voice, while not the most beautiful in the world, fits every song perfectly. In closing, this is an amazing album in both its scope and its execution, giving the listener a glimpse at the many sides of Steve Vai, the man.

This is a wonderful album. So much melody, so many twists and turns, so much fun. A definite must-have; This album recommended highly enough

Steve Vai - BIG TROUBLE

Steve Vai’s technical mastery of the guitar is such that, like a gunslinger of old, he used to challenge the audience at Frank Zappa gigs to bring along music scores for him to sight read live on stage. Naturally enough Vai’s reputation spread and his solos soon became one of the benchmarks that aspiring guitarists measure themselves against.

A brief spell in 1985 with Alcatrazz (replacing Yngwie Malmsteen), followed by a couple of years with David Lee Roth, who had by that time split, very publicly, from Eddie Van Halen. His iconic status also led to a collaboration with Ibanez with whom has designed several signature guitars.

Steve Vai's guitar work on that album is really amazing, and for the most part totally unconventional. What a monster.

What’s What With … Steve Vai
You may not know the name Steve Vai. But unless you think that heavy metal is just the stuff you don’t want in your drinking water, you’ve undoubtedly heard his screamingly fast guitar work, since he’s played with the likes of Ozzy Osbourne,David Lee Roth, Frank Zappa, and Whitesnake. Since leaving that world of overindulgence in the ’80s, Vai has maintained a successful solo career with more than a dozen albums; he appears tonight at the Keswick and on Saturday at the Borgata. I caught up with this six-string soldier before sound check. — Victor Fiorillo

The Number One Beast, 666: A Tribute to Iron Maiden

Can you imagine what it would sound like if Whitesnake or Cinderella had covered Iron Maiden? Well, listen to this album and all the non-Di'Anno tracks will give you a clearer idea. Those track are mainstream-sounding and would have been perfect in the heyday of "Hair Metal". This isn't a negative criticism, as most are actually quite nice to listen to, but this simply isn't Maiden. The power and rawness are absent and these covers sound a bit bland.

Musicians:
Lea Hart – Lead Guitar, Paul Quinn – Guitar, Bernie Torme – Guitar, Andy Barnet – Guitar, Rob Page – Guitar, Steve Parry – Guitar, Dave Colwell – Guitar, Steve Bennett – Drums, Dean Moraity – Bass, Jem Davis – Keyboards.

Songs:
1. Can I Play With Madness [Steve Overland]
2. 2 Minutes To Midnight [Steve Grimmett]
3. Wrathchild [Paul Di'Anno]
4. Hallowed Be Thy Name [Doogie White]

#22: Music : IRON MAIDEN-The Number of the Beast (MP3+TAB)

IRON MAIDEN-The Number of the Beast (MP3+TAB)

Iron Maiden are Steve Harris' brainchild, from 1976 and on they are the absolute heavy metal machine that destroys everything on its path.

They made heavy metal massive, and they are familiar even to those that don’t know their music.

With this record Iron Maide broke into the world receiving recognition and appreciation. They managed to attract huge crowds, with people flooding stadiums (the top of the iceberg was Monsters Of Rock in Donnington with over 100,000 people attendance in 1988), their record sales reached unbelievable numbers (they’ve sold more than 70 million records worldwide), big tours, great material and we haven’t talked about influence…let’s not. They have a distinguish position in our music’s pantheon.

“Number Of The Beast” overflows with power, passion, outstanding arrangements that feed the listener’s attention, galloping metallic riffs, and melodies that break to guitar parades.

The record arrived exactly when they needed it. After the two records with Paul Di’Anno and his punk pitch, Bruce Dickinson (ex-Samson) with his metalic voice, took over like a bull in a china shop. His majestic voice of great potential was what the band was in need of to rejuvenate and conquer the world.

#24: Music : BLUE MURDER-Nothing but trouble

BLUE MURDER-Nothing but trouble

Blue Murder was the brainchild of guitar virtuoso John Sykes. It was a melodic heavy metal band from England, founded by ex-Whitesnake guitarist Sykes. Upon Sykes' firing from the most successful version of Whitesnake, the former Tygers Of Pan Tang and Thin Lizzy axe-man set out to create a similar sounding bluesy hard rock band. They released two studio albums and one live album before breaking up in 1994.

The late Ray Gillen, most famous for singing for Black Sabbath and Badlands, sang for an early version of Blue Murder, and reportedly the band recorded demos with him, but no albums. Another interesting thing to note is that John Sykes was himself once in a different band also called Badlands.

Another masterpiece by Sykes. Listen to the awesome guitars, vocals, and songwriting of John Sykes. He is one of the greatest of all time. Lock yourself into the monster groove of "Cry for love"!! Listen to another huge Sykes signature riff on "I'm on fire"!! You will never stop listening to this stuff.

The second Blue Murder album is a bit of a catch-all in that it features tracks with the original trio, with the Marco Mendoza version of the group, and even one with (temporary) lead singer Kelly Keeling. For metal fans, there's a bunch of excellent material here, but I can't help but feel that it all suffers in comparison to the fantastic first album. The album is 1-2 songs too long, and it was released too late to catch any of the heat from the semi-success of the first CD. Nonetheless, the playing is great, and the 2nd version of the group is at least a good stand-in for the first, with Mendoza proving himself especially able. Sykes has some better lyrics on this album and shows himself maturing as a songwriter.

WHITESNAKE "Good to be BAD"

“Good to be bad” is the band’s eleventh studio release, and the first release to carry the Whitesnake insignia, in many years. “Into the light”, David Coverdale’s third solo album, that precedes this one as the latest studio effort, if one discards the 4 songs that were included in the recent live album, was essentially a Whitesnake album, probably, the best album Whitesnake, never released (as whitesnake at least), so as you can understand

Good to Be Bad is the eleventh studio album by Whitesnake released in April 2008.

This is the first album of new studio material in a decade, since 1997's Restless Heart, not including the 4 new tracks recorded for the 2006 live album Live: In the Shadow of the Blues.

According to charts around the world: Good To Be Bad is one of the band's most successful albums.

All the trademarks of the Whitesnake sound, can be found here, in abundance. All the clichés are here as well, thrown in with NO measure. The albums sits uncomfortably between Slide it in, 1987 and Slip of the Tongue , stylistically, with a few melodies borrowed from the Coverdale/Page songbook as well, but the album also holds a couple of surprises and boasts a couple of interesting compositions, unlike anything we’ve heard before

The Best Heavy Metal Album In The World Ever

mp3 Format | 128 kbps | 132.8 MB

While the album title may be more than just a little ambitious, the content certainly packs a punch! If I was to assemble a group of songs for an album titled like this one, I would have most assuredly included some of the music you'll find here. Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Montrose, Ted Nugent, all bring to the party the qualities any real fan of heavy metal lives for. From beginning to end, this collection will keep your walls shakin' and your neighbors quakin'!
