McAfee Agent 4.5 improves performance of policy enforcement, implements cross-platform process-to-process communication, and supports the new features of ePolicy Orchestrator 4.5.

Install the McAfee Agent (MA) on the systems you intend to manage with ePolicy Orchestrator versions 4.0 or 4.5.
Note: If you are installing the McAfee Agent 4.5 for use with ePolicy Orchestrator 4.0, you must first apply ePO Patch 4.
The McAfee Agent 4.5 Release Candidate version includes these new features:
o An updated McAfee System Tray Icon that provides improved user interface on managed systems
o An Update Now feature in ePolicy Orchestrator 4.5 that provides support for manual updates
o Improved performance during policy enforcement
o Improved methodology for identifying nearby subnets
o Compatibility with Data Execution Prevention (DEP)
o Support for agent handler (load balancing)
o Support for Internet Protocol v6 (IPv6) networks
o Support for selective updating
o Support for policy assignment rules (user-based policies)
