You can reset Kaspersky any time you want with this crack.
This crack just delete the registry keys/files that deal with the licensing.
There is no need to delete the old key.

Steps to reset Kaspersky 2009
1. Disable Kaspersky's "Self-Defense" feature. To disable the "Self-Defense", right click on Kaspersky's tray icon and select , , (on the right side under "Self-Defense") uncheck .

2. Exit Kaspersky.

3. Execute the crack and Wait for Kaspersky to prompt you to activate (Kaspersky should start by itself). If Kaspersky doesn't start by itself, then try to start it manually or just restart the computer. (The crack will automatically exit without executing if you don't do step 1 & 2.)

4. To uninstall, just delete the file.

NOTE: If you get an "activation server is unavailable" (or no internet) after executing the crack, try disabling/enabling your ethernet card. (This is the problem with the software and not the crack.) Also, don't apply the crack while Kaspersky is updating.

Does this work with the latest KIS and KAV versions? i.e. 8.0.0.454 ?

Downloaded it from Kaspersky website, and would like to try it out atleast for a couple of months before actually buying it to make sure this is indeed what I need to buy, otherwise there's no need to switch from KAV 6 which I already own.

GUYS, How long is this expected to work?
I often buy a license, then when another anti-virus does better, I buy that. Often comparing the two. Can anyone give me details as to which keys this removes both in XP and Vista?

dude i dunno wat it exactly does.........but kinda it removes or changes the key which kaspersky sends to the activation server for a trial period..........in other words.........gives u a "new" trial key for one month..........so basically everytime u use this patch u get a new "trial" key........get it??

EDIT: and i dunno how long will it work.........prolly they'll change it in the next version they release.........currently this is working on 8.0.0.454........

There will probably be some other crack out by then. I think I'll just buy it as I've never had any regret with Kaspersky to begin with, so I might as well chip in. For something that offers full functionality on trial, its really not bad. However, I usually like to test things out for a while to see how they play at this. I don't see why they would come out with anything else, this one seems to work just fine to me.
