OrchestraTools Orchestral Strings Run 2 Kontakt (2012)

We are very happy to release OSR 2. We needed some "extra" time for additional recording-sessions with the orchestra to bring some of our visions into OSR 2. The update will not include additional basic-runs, because OSR has a huge amount of pre-recorded runs. We decided to come up with some improvements for more flexibility and some new artics. We've recorded fast legato-performances for our new playable runs patches for violins+violas and celli+basses. We divided the musicians into two groups of players. A multiscript will make natural tuning- and timing-discrepancies possible. But you've control over all of these things.

For this new runs-patch (legato-performances up to the fifth) we have recorded everything twice for repetitions and the multiscript will make 4 roundrobins possible. The cool thing is, that the second group of these divided section will have a slightly, randomized delay.

We worked pretty much on our RUNS BUILDER concept. RUNS BUILDER 2 will now allow additional scales like whole tone or octatonic and of course chromatic-options. For this we have also recorded additional samples.

There are also some new extras like the new recorded sustains xfade instruments, marcatos or our new tempo-synced measured short tremolos (doubles and triples).

Whats new in OSR 2.0

Violins
Changes on Violins RUNS-BUILDER:
- Scale-Options, special scales like octatonic, whole tone or chromatic are now possible, tempo-options for every single slot
- Triplets half and doubled are now possible in tempo-settings
- Tempo fine-adjustments are now implemented for every single slot
- New recorded samples makes special-scales like chromatic possible
- Tempo-issue in 16th figure and 16th-up figure fixed

New Instrument: Violins Measured Short Tremolos (tempo synced)

New Instrument: RUNS TRANSITIONS PATCH 2.0 complete new samples and concept sampled in two different divisi-groups and special techniques to create realistic smearingruns.
- A multi-script controls natural timing- and tuning-discrepancys
- Every legato-transition is recorded in two repetitions and two velocity layers
- A special group-repetition-script archieve four unique round-robins which makes fast ostinatos really realistic without loosing the real legato-transitions,longer samples than in the first RUNS TRANSITIONS PATCH makes slower movements possible.
- A "non legato" option is build in to make ostinatos much more realistic(with this you can put "off" the legato-transition e.g. for the first note of an ostinato-sequence)
