This is the same soundboard recording as House On Fire. The only difference here is that Milk Cow Blues and Toys In the Attic are replaced with Cryin’ and Walk This Way. If you put the two shows together, you have the complete show. I always meant to do this but I figured it would have to go on two discs anyway, so, if you get House On Fire and Welcome To Mama Kin, you basically have the complete show, which is a truly great one friends. The CD packaging on this one lists track 10 as Christmas Song (Joe Perry), well, it is in fact the rare song Stop Messin’ Around with Christmas lyrics inserted by Joe Perry. If anyone has ever questioned Joe Perry’s guitar, just listen to this track and you will change your mind. When Steven Tyler introduces him before this tune, you can tell he has a lot of respect for his longtime friend. The Walk This Way Jam is pretty cool too!

Live Alive is a magnificent double-length showcase for Stevie Ray Vaughan's guitar playing, featuring a number of extended jams on a selection of most of the best material from Vaughan's first three albums, plus covers of "Willie the Wimp," "I'm Leaving You (Commit a Crime)," and Stevie Wonder's "Superstition." The album may not be exceptionally tight or concise, but then again, that's not the point. The renditions here sound less polished than the studio versions, with Vaughan's guitar tone bitingly down and dirty and his playing spontaneous and passionate.
Well, for me, this man is the best of the guitars

Recorded in December 1983, In Session captures an in-concert jam between Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughan, who had become the hot blues guitarist of the year thanks to his debut Texas Flood, as well as his work on David Bowie's hit Let's Dance. Vaughan may have been the new news, but King was not suffering, either. He had a world-class supporting band and was playing as well as he ever had. In other words, the stage was set for a fiery, exciting concert and that's exactly what they delivered. Vaughan was clearly influenced by King -- there are King licks all over his first two recorded efforts, and it was an influence that stayed with him to the end -- and he was unafraid to go toe-to-toe with his idol. King must have been impressed, since In Session never devolves into a mere cutting contest. Instead, each musicians spurs the other to greater heights. For aficionados of either guitarist, that means the album isn't just worth a listen -- it means that it's a record that sounds as exciting on each subsequent listen as does the first time through.

This epic collection of led zeppelins music selected and produced by Jimmy Page (who i beleive is one of the greatest guitarist of all time) is brilliant for new listeners of led zeppelin and is a great summary of their best material if you are a distinguished fan.
Of course as you know led zeppelin are an awesome band and one that will always have a high reputation amongst music lovers. The first album is probably the best ending with the fantastic stairway to heaven but the second album also has some amaizing songs such as Kashmir, Houses of the Holy and many others.
